I like walkie-talkies, megaphones and microphones. Devices that you can talk through. I also like those devices where you can alter your voice.

I like walkie talkies a lot and I have some that look like cell phones.

I do not like cell phones that have a walkie talkie feature because
REAL walkie talkies have no service fees!

They should make mobile phones with a free walkie talkie feature, for short range communication, just like real walkie talkies.

People who like walkie talkies should get ham radio licenses.
Ham radio walkie talkies are the best kind.

Walkie talkies are very useable up in the mountains. But generally I'm not very fund of them these days. Old technology.

But I guess that if I was to test a high quality walkie talkie I wouldn't mind. :)

when I was younger before my dad retired from the civil service I used to play around with them, confused some people. They had some seriously large/bulky battery packs. Pretty essential kit in civil war Angola.

Yes. My favourite is a Yeasu FT-705 that has been modified to cover the entire 140.0000 MHz to 149.9995 MHz band.
