Help! my brain is so dysexecutive, I get lost in the middle of getting dressed unless I have a sequence I can check. Even so, I feel like I need a nap between showering and putting minimal makeup on.

I procured a Pocket PC / Window Mobile 6 device (I know ... There's nothing wrong with Windows that Linux can't fix) and have tried a few different 'PIMs.' (=personal info manager)

Essential elements/features/functions I need to end up with on my cortical prosthesis (I think that's the term someone here coined for her XDA) are:

~ sequencing -- 'complete subtasks in order'
~ calendar or connection to Outlook
~ big-task management
~ plugs in to Today screen so I don't have to remember to open it without a prompt
~ tasks that re-set reminders upon completion, e.g. I can set 'drink water' to re-appear an hour after I mark it complete, and 'eat' three hours
.... and probably more.

So far I've tried:

----MyLifeOrganized----
+clean interface
+intuitive operation
+sequencing
-no calendar
-no sync with Outlook mobile
-reminders unreliable (may be a Windows glitch)
-price

----LifeBalance----
+task tree
+sequencing
+calendar
-no WinMo option
-barfy pastels
-price

----PocketInformant----
+huge array of configuration options
+plugs in to Today screen
+price
-no sequencing option (that I could find)
-set-up absolutely NOT intuitive
-huge array of configuration options
-even pared-down, interface is 'busy'/cluttered

----Agendus----
+plugs in to Today screen
+intuitive operation
+price
-no sequencing option
-slows down entire system

----Outlook + SPB plug-in program----
---> plugs Outlook contact key dates, mails, notes, everything into Today screen
+puts things where I can see them
+manageable interface
-no sequencing
-no re-set of reminders upon completion

I've heard that Kathleen Nadeau (ADHD specialist) might bring out a PIM called Scoach. Not sure it'll address autie planning issues, and I can't rot here while waiting for it to come out, but maybe it'll be a future resource for someone.

Desktop programs that look good are Above&Beyond, TimeTo, !Intellect/Time&Chaos and a few others I don't have listed on thice device. (Am posting from mobile brain, lists are on laptop ... for which I need to order replacement fan, grrr. Tempted to try canned air to trick CPU into thinking fan´s on so it´ll start.) But even if I got a netbook to run one of them, I can't put it in the pocket of my bathrobe or set it on the kitchen counter as I do the PPC.

At this point, I´d consider changing operating systems if there´s a plug & play option on Symbian or Blackberry/RIM. PalmOS seems on its way out.

So far, I feel like I'm missing something obvious ... someone please point it out - or perhaps just shoot me!

Did I post this in the wrong forum? Where would it be better placed?

I think I get you. No, this is a good place for it.

I considered a mental programming language. I dont have ADHD, but was/am interested in rote meta calculation exercises. Instead of memorizing tables of answers, I am considering ways to automate the calculation.

It would have to be generic so that it could apply to non math problems, and so I considered lisp/scheme as a basis.
