Broadband an wireless problems solved!

I've set up my broadband connection so that only my computer can use it now. It works perfectly. judging by over 5 minutes of whining from the other side of the wall.
I actually considered recording a song where I play distorted bass and scream "It's my broadband, fools!!" and play it loud on my stereo to announce that I have secured my connection.
I was advised to see if it was my firewall that caused the disconnection problems, but it wasn't. I have no idea what could be the problem at all.
