I thought it was far better than that other thing that it wasn't supposed to be.

Sounds pretty interesting. How do I do this without breaking everything I already have on my computer?

I'm not sure. i am still waiting for it to finish booting on my test machine.

I had it booting on my big computer, but then suddenly realized its likely not a live CD like linux.

So i aborted and started it on thorn(test machine).

I really should invest in a cheap second-hand netbook or something to use as a test machine. As it stands, all my testing is done on my only machine, and the only effective way of minimizing my risk (virtualbox) just doesn't get the same results as a real installation.

Ooops. I was thinking that "singularity" was the "fake" version of XP (or was it Vista) that Microsoft just doctored the GUI a little, and got people to try out. Nine out of ten said it was a much better OS (when it was really unchanged). (Or something along those lines.) (I'll go to bed now.)

Do you speak of WinMojave or Win7? Cause they did the same thing twice.

And I did download it, but I've yet to try it. It requires so little in resources I'm definitely intriuged.

It wont fully boot for me. Its tiny though, only 56 megs or so.

Computer #2 "Trillian": Singularity again locks up. This time it doesnt go as far as looking for HAL devices.

I'm not looking forward to messing in the guts of this computer. I went up town to find a SATA style DVD player to justify it, but everyone was sold out. I hate the IDE cables!

I thought Microsoft had perfected the concept of singularities a long time ago. A black hole that sucks in your data never to be seen again.
