My dad uses Windows XP, and I recently had to replace his hard drive because it contracted a rather nasty boot virus that nobody could get rid of. Anyway, the reinstall won't let him customize his wallpaper. He wanted to upload photos of my mom to use as desktop wallpaper, but they won't load. He's going batty looking at that dumb stock photo they use, and keeps asking me to fix it, but I have no clue how. I have used Vista for a year, so my XP skills are rusty. Any ideas? He does know how to upload wallpaper, but he keeps saying "it won't let me".

If XP isn't letting him (which sounds odd in itself) then it might be best to provide any error messages that occur or how XP isn't letting him. Not letting someone is rather vague.

"photos of my mom to use as desktop wallpaper"

"photos" is plural. You are requesting a program that will cycle multiple photos as the desktop wallpaper.
