UPDATED: I can't figure out how to edit the poll - but if I could I'd change the question to:

Were you going to watch and will you try again in Thursday? Providing they can get all the old crappy equipment working. Damn - I hate mechanical delays).

Fellow Space Geeks!! ! Tell your fellow dork friends and family!

I'm beside myself with joy and excitement! Better make sure the telescopes are ready!

Just saw they are launching Discovery (Old Bessie) tonight at 9:21 pm EDT. It might be too cloudy in the northern states to see it but we're supposed to get an awesome view here in Georgia. Just look southeast from Atlanta. The cape is almost right under us.

I'll also be watching it on CNN and the NASA Channel. Wonder if they'll be doing anything cool with HD and HDMI.

 Night launches are so beautiful! I'm guessing this picture is from Tampa. Nice boats.

T-10 missions until bye-bye space shuttle.   I'm sure space tweaks from all over will cry but those old mares need to be put out to pasture. (Any other propeller heads following the nextgen of space travel???)

If I'm home, I'll watch it, I may be at the theater seeing Watchmen when it happens.

No wonder it's cloudy tonight... clouds always come to let me know something really interesting is going to happen above them lol.

The STS vehicle is a piece of sh*t abomination. It is a kludge and it is unreliable and it has killed a dozen people.

It is the perfect match for NASA which is a bloated, top-heavy, management driven p*ss poor organization. The promise of its early days has been betrayed by its management again and again.

Because it has become a political PR tool rather than the scientific organization it was in the beginning.

But since the space race is back on (this time with China), I'm optimistic that the cream will rise to the top - under Obama.

ahh why does NASA always have to keep postponing their liftoffs, i mean last night at 9:21 i kept watching out window thinking ill maybe get to see the launch (im in nj, and they did say that many on east coast will see it) didnt see a thing!

(yes i know, space flights get frequently canceled because of space junk and other things up there getting in way and risking a space disaster with the shuttle)

ohh well,maybe next flight.

The space flights are not for your entertainment.
