New Army Weapon Aims to Fry Gadgets, People

Image

Quote:
Electronics-frying "e-bombs" have been discussed for decades — but rarely, if ever, deployed. Knocking out computers and communications gear with electromagnetic radiation is nice, but commanders prefer the proven method: blowing stuff up.
Now the U.S. Army is developing technology to do both at the same time. Hybrid munitions would give warheads the added punch of an e-bomb that can "destroy and disable electronic systems and their operators" all in one blast....

When I remember correctly there was a discussion regarding the EMP in the 1970s The German Army still used in 1980s (perhaps still now?) radio transmitters build with electron tubes, because they assumed that they assumed that they would have a higher resistance to an EMP.

Is it just me or does this seem so dumb just for the fact that this would be working against there information gathering??? I believe the current method is to shot everyone and gather all the electronic info you can?
Of corse this would be just right for the us army, they never make sence to begin with. I wonder if they will strap this to there biggest nuke, sort of like nock out electronics before you melt them? Sort of like a early warning to kiss your ass goodbye. "frank the tv stoped working, there must be a bomb heading toward us". How about a bomb to clean up all the blood, I hear that is what they are working on next.
First I have to rig my computer up with a electro magnet, just incase the government tries to get all my info. Now I need to put everything in a anti EMP case. GOD BLESS THE USA :wtg:

As Martin Luther King once said, "We have guided missiles and misguided men."
