I've just received an interesting mail (from Smith Micro) advertising this software to draw on the computer. I've zero experience, but lately the idea of trying to paint something has often popped on my mind, probably as a result of the insane amount of hours spent playing videogames  . On paper I'm a disaster, but maybe on the computer...It looks cool, it says "great for kids" so it should be very user friendly, and the price is affordable. But before wasting my money...

anyone knows it ?

yes, tried it around when it first came out,as it was being reviewed in a PC software magazine,so had downloaded the free version which didnt have as many features.
Tried to find it recently...ish,but couldn't so had assumed they stopped making it.

If it hasn't changed, the idea is less about creating computer graphics like with GIMP,and more like how it is with traditional art-it's like using a canvas but on the computer instead.
It's great just for having an arty mess around on,recommend this one if can find it,but then again no idea what it's like now.

I know they make a character-based program called Poser (create pictures with people in them), but haven't heard about this. When I first saw it, I thought it was a video card...;)
