Gamecube problem

Okay, I'm having a weird problem with my gamecube. I'm playing MVP Baseball 2005 on my 'Cube, and it just won't load a game in the owner mode. I've tried everything, from wiping the lens off, from wiping the gamecube CD, etc. and it just won't pass that one point when it goes to load. The rest of the game is fine. Help plz

It could be that the GameCube is old. I have one, but it has never given me that problem. Have you tried it using a friend's? Is the disc scratched?

Have you tried playing another game in the system to see if it's the system or the game itself?

It's just that one part on that one game. It can't get past the Load screen when starting the Owner mode with a custom stadium. Any other time, like using another stadium, but still in user mode, it is fine O.o
