Didn't he challenge his critics to a boxing match that is in the movie?

people think he's the worst video game movie director ever, but the ironic thing is he directs movies for bad video game licenses that nobody cares about (House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, etc). the fact he's such an awful filmmaker just makes it worse.

i saw an article for Postal somewhere the other day and i laughed because i thought "wouldn't it be funny if it were that computer game Postal", i then grew sad when i realized that it actually was, and even more sad when i saw who was directing this :(

Never saw any of his films, although my sister saw House of the Dead when it came out and hated it.

I might want to see In the Name of the King, though, just to see if he really is a hack. (Then again, I could rent any of his past films, but In the Name of the King sounds a lot more interesting.)

Alone in the Dark really shows off his hackery best, if for no other reason than he tries to pass off Tara Reid as a scientist.

Don't even get me started on that talentless bag of excrement. I think he and Jack Thompson are secretly working together to destroy the gaming industry. It's a CONSPIRACY!

That said, I watched the 9/11-themed clip of Postal on YouTube and thought it was pretty funny. The fact that he beat the s**t out of his critics via boxing matches that everyone but him thought was a joke says a lot about his cave-man mentality ("No like me? I smash you!"), but in Postal he doesn't seem to be taking himself seriously at all. "I fund my movies with Nazi gold," he says in the trailer, making fun of the (false) rumors that he actually did. See, that's what I'm talking about--it's funny. He just needs to stop taking himself seriously.

What I'm wondering is how he manages to keep getting his films funded. They all fail to make money, they are all universally loathed, even by people like myself who enjoy "So bad they're good" movies. Yet "Dungeon Siege" had a budget of $60 million, a rather huge budget, the same as friggin' "Hellboy." He must be one hell of a pitchman and producer.

So basically, Uwe Boll needs to reform by:
1) Becoming a producer, not a director
2) Not taking himself at ALL seriously
3) Only be remotely attached to comedies

the only person in the film industry i hate more than uwe boll is paul w.s. anderson.

holy f%@# i cant stand him. he's managed to ruin 3 of my favorite franchises with only TWO movies, ONLY TWO!!

Alien vs. Predator was a travesty!

and the resident evil movies were so loosely based on the games it wasn't even funny.

Image

and just this picture alone is enough to make me want to throw a baby, and im not a violent person at all.

it also doesn't help that he is often confused with PT anderson, who is one of the greatest directors of his generation.

what i want to know about Paul Anderson and the Resident Evil movies is how he got from There to Here.

how did he get from There (the original games, fairly straightforward with zombies and mutants) to Here (Milla Jovovich having psychic powers and teaming up with clones of herself)?

Alone in the Dark was the first survival horror game. It's widely regarded as a classic, and one of the most important games ever produced.

yea. i hope i didn't spoil it, but that's how the third movie ends. Milla Jovovich teams up with a clone or herself. i'm not kidding.

I think Uwe Boll is the only person who could make Paul W.S. Anderson look good, but Anderson is almost as bad. "Resident Evil" was a terrible film. Why Milla Jovitch married him I'll never understand.

What is it with British actresses and American directors? Milla with Paul...Kate Beckinsale with Len Wiseman, who directed her in "Underworld"...and Helena Bonham Carter with Tim Burton....
