What about Stephen King or Franz Kafka?

What about Johnny Depp? In contrast to a lot of leading men roles, he seems to do less sex scenes and a whole lot less nude shots.
Most of the roles he takes are for eccentric characters. He studies his character roles very intensely. When he was researching the role of Hunter S. Thompson, he lived with the man. For thirty days he followed Thompson around studying his mannerisms, and was soon able to imitate him a little too well. It was said that Thompson got a little creeped out towards the end of the month. He seems to have trouble speaking in interviews and has strange collections of things. At one time, Depp was afraid of clowns, and collected paintings of them. I may be reading too much into it, but he does seem a little reclusive and his regular speaking voice often sounds contrived and formal. If he is, then its a nice addition.

I've often wondered the same about Johnny Depp for all the points you mention & how he acts on the red carpet, etc. Look at that hat he always wears. He's a bit of an eccentric, aloof too. It's probably why he is as good an actor as he is, he doesn't 'act' his own style is attractive enough. He's genuine & that pleases the camera.

Bono doesn't have AS.

Most of the early U2 songs were about innocence, growing up and/or struggling with his mother's death.

Yes I can relate to a lot of their songs, but that doesn't necessarily make Bono an aspie.

That is insane! My sister said the exact same thing about me (uh, minus the Elliot part).

I get that same sort of simmering anger that ends up with me ripping someone a new a-hole, where I let someone know exactly what is wrong with them. I also have a bit of that naive-but-well-meaning quality, that blissful ignorance of just how weird people think you are.

the actress who play Luna Loveheart in Harry Potter, my mum thinks she AS, because on behind the scenes, she was looking at the camera and knows everything about Harry Potter.

When I was reading about David Tennant, http://team-tennant.com/article/gq1.jpg, when he said "I "I've got enough Asperger's syndrome kicking around that..." I'm not sure he's AS or not.

I always assumed you had to be, you know... smart to have aspergers syndrome. Guys IQ is under 90 after all. Unless you mean senoir, then I have no clue.

Now this is my own belief, but I am fairly certain Leonardo Da Vinchi had aspergers. Everything about his personality just screams it. Creative artistic person that loved to create. Great difficulty socializing with others, lack of order in his notes, obsession with learning about something, well you get the idea.

I also think Kohta Hirano (creator of hellsing) might have it. I'm not basing this on much really so dont blame me if its wrong. Just got that vibe

No they are not. Nor are all the odd people. Like Truman Capote. Sure he had odd prosody (way of speaking) but reading about his life, he didn't seem to be Aspie.

Creative people or entertainers are sometimes odd or different than average people, but it still doesn't make them Aspie.

The character Luna Lovegood could probably be called Aspie, but looking at the camera and knowing a lot about the books which have been made into movies that you have a part in, isn't Aspie. She's probably very intelligent and wants to be able to play her part well. Plus, there are a lot of people obsessed with the Harry Potter books who don't seem to be at all Aspie, or there are a lot more Aspies out there than are previously thought. Some NT's have their "special interests" too!

I also think Damon Albarn from Blur/Gorillaz/The Good, The Bad, And The Queen has it as well because there was an interview he did back in 1995 where he said he likes to be on his own and he does have problems socialising which he expressed alot on The Great Escape album.

No, there's no way Bono can be Aspie. He could probably be ADHD or ADD (though I'm just guessing and probably am wrong even about that!), but not AS. From everything I've heard he is way too social. He was fairly popular in school from everything I've read, and popular with the girls before he was in a band, even though he was not even that great looking then.

He was a sensitive, intelligent, artistic (not autistic) kid who lost his mom, who he was very close to, at age 14, and that affected him a lot. After his mom died, he was left with his dad and much older brother, who I guess he didn't get along as well with--they all were hot-tempered, too, so there was lots of fighting and arguing. He was brought up a Prostestant in a Catholic country, and felt weird about that even though his dad was Catholic. There are a lot of reasons why perfectly NT people can feel weird or out of place, particularly as a teenager, if they're at all sensitive. You've heard the expression "teen angst"--it applies to NT teens too. I remember being shocked to learn later that some kids I thought had everything, popularity, looks, success in love or dating, were hiding something like depression or anorexia.

If you're around the age Bono was when U2's first album came out, you might not realize it yet but NT's don't always have it perfectly easy when it comes to socializing or how they think others feel about them. Having family problems or losing a parent can really hurt too. Even though they have their friends tot turn to, NT teenagers probably do best if they at least have one parent they can talk about stuff to (For instance, I don't think Bono had that with his dad, at least not as a teen). They can just hide their doubts and fears better than Aspies, is all, or the majority of them can. They can also be sensitive and thinking people, and some of them can get passionate about things other than socializing or making more money than anyone.

She's simply a very big fan of Harry Potter herself. That has been stated from the begining.

What about Paul Potts? ---> I really don't know much about him, but I saw his audition tape and well, it could be...
