What's your favorite radio station? Mine's ESPN Radio (AM 790) I like it because of all the hilarious sports talk shows on it. I especially like The Jungle with Jim Rome show, which comes on on weekdays at 1100 CT. Jim Rome really knows how to crack a joke! Heres a dialogue from the advertisement for his other show, Jim Rome Talks Back to Memphis...

Quote:
I don't know what you people have done to my show! All i ever wanted to do was host a sports talk show! Instead i sit here... and i read e-mails... from a fat actor wanting to eat a [something i can't hear here] chili? What have you people done to my show? Where the h*** did i go wrong? A fat actor wanting to eat a [missed the next word] chili?!

He's kinda ranting here, and it cracks me up every time i hear this.

What is your favorite radio station?

Archmage, Jim Rome fan

I found my favroite Radio Staion on the Internet. This may not come as a suprize to you, since you've gotten to know me really well over the past few weeks. The name of the station is Christmas Radio.com. Christmas Music, 24 hours a Day, 7 Days a Week, 365 Days a Year. I listen to it when my Parents are out.

My first love was WMAQ All News at 67, but when it was taken off, I went to Oldies104.3 WJMK. Lately it got turned into blankety blank Jack FM, so now I listen to the new oldies station, what used to be CD94.7.

I am from Lower Alabama, and their stations aren't that good. However, I recieved some stations from Montgomery. I used to listen to COOL 104.3 when it was an oldies station, but then they changed to a gospel format, and that really ticked me off!! !! !! !! I think Montgomery needs a new oldies station!

Every six months or so my favorite radio station gets converted to Tejano. :(

At the moment my favorite is JACK FM (Sorry Mel) because it has no DJ's and is completely random.

Like me.

KLOVE. It's a christian FM station. It's all over the country. I also like Family Life Network(more local) but their news is so biased I can't bear to listen to it.

Not much commercial radio does anything for me. I'll listen to NPR, though. Other than that here are some of my favorites that broadcast on air, as well as on the net.

www.wmpg.org -- University of Southern Maine College station. Lots of really diverse programming. A very good example of a college radio station doing local community programming.

www.wmbr.org -- College Radio from the MIT campus in Cambridge Ma. Lots of good shows, especially the very long running Late Risers Club every weekday morning

www.wfmu.org -- College radio that graduated and became freeform alternative radio. Out of East Orange, NJ. Their 100Kw Horizontal/Vertical Transmitter means that you can most likely hear them loudly and clearly from Philadelphia to NYC with hardly any problems.

Hmm.... I would have figured you to be a Beeb listener. You can find many of their localisde broadcasts (All Beeb networks) on the internet if you google Internet Radio Broadcasts, but you can listen to their world service by going directly to their website. www.bbc.co.uk

I get the impression that those "Jack" stations aren't as random as they want you to think. I still listen to the one in my area though.

But my favorite station is WHTG (G-Rock), a modern rock station in my area. I also listen to the news stations, and my college's station (where I work).

I love my local Jack station which is 93.1 FM which used to be a classic rock station called "Arrow." The call letters are KCBS-FM. I like Sirius stations since I get Sirius through Dish Network. My favorites are 80's and First Wave: Classic Alternative. They also have "artist centered" stations: Springsteen,Stones,Jimmy Buffet,Elvis.

one of my favorite radio stations in the past is Mix 94.5 in Birmingham, I remember one time I was visting Birmingham and some friends of ours had that station on their stereo and I noticed what good music they played, and I was hooked! I also listened to that station because they did, and I liked those people alot.

Well, my very favorite radio station nowadays is on the internet. Plays soundtracks 24/7. It has helped me so much as far as great background music for studying by as well as helping me socially when I'm in the chat room. Anyways, it's streamingsoundtracks.com

In the past my favorite radio station was 97.3 FM when they played soft rock music. the soft rock station just went off the air last year and now there's an 80s music station playing there now.

Another past favorite radio station of mine are the following stations:

1. Z93 FM Atlanta Classic Rock, until it became Alternative DAVE FM
2. Fox 97.1 FM Also in Atlanta, until it changed into a rap station, which Atlanta does not need! They have enough Rap Stations!
3. BIG 100.3 now it's a spanish station
