Some of you didn't like Batman's voice. You're not alone.

Monday Movie Buzz: Bale's Batman voice too much?

This film is ridiculously amazing. It was too long, yes. But it was really jaw-dropping outside of that, close to perfect. Five out of five. Heath Ledger has replaced Mark Hamill as my favourite Joker.

The best thing of all? The film was FUNNY. Joker was funny, so funny because you laugh at him but then you think, I shouldn't have found that funny.

Oh yeah, the magic trick was brilliant. I couldn't stop grinning at that. And the bit where he was in drag was an eye-opener, to say the least ;)

Heath Ledger's Joker has me totally re-energised about the character - but also terribly sad, because we'll never get to see a performance of this calibre from Heath ever again. In any case, this Joker has eclipsed Mark Hamill's version of the character, and has certainly beaten Jack Nicholson's "Jack Nicholson in white make-up" Joker, because it was such a high-energy, demented vision of everybody's favourite killer clown.

I will hold my hands up and say that I was unsure about how well this version of the Joker would hold up, but I can safely say I've been proved wrong.

Best film I've seen this year, by a landslide. Iron Man is still #2, though...

I had a thought recently. After seeing Heath Ledger as the Joker all but take on aspects of Papa Lazarou from The League of Gentlemen, do you reckon Reece Shearsmith would be a good idea for replacing Ledger?

No. He'd play it too funny, too whimsical. I know the League are dark, but not this dark.

Come on, the League are horror film fans. We simply don't know how dark and crazy Shearsmith would play it.

That would be really weird. But it could work if he got into the right mood.

Okay, let's be honest here.

The fact of the matter is, no-one is going to live up to that performance. No-one. Honestly, I don't think Joker should be in the third film at all, because no-one they find will be able to replace Ledger.

I thought the pacing was a bit off, but overall, I enjoyed it. And Heath Ledger is definitely a better Joker than Jack Nicholson (though he was good too.) This new Joker is friggin' creepy... in part because he's unpredictable.

I just saw "THE DARK KNIGHT" that Monday afternoon and it was awesome. I loved the action and suspense in the movie and just like Cyberman, I consider Heath Ledger's Joker to be better and more deadlier than Jack Nicholson's Joker.

I've been a Batman nut since I was born, to put it bluntly.
And at first I was a little skeptical about the thought of Heath Ledger being the Joker.
But I still planned to go see on of the first viewings in my country, and I did.

And it has to be the best Batman movie today.
I love the classics, but The Dark Knight blew me away.

Ledger really deserves a medal for that.

I second that opinion. As much as I love Johhny Depp, I do not want to see him in a Batman movie. The first two have been simply thrilling, in large part because I didn't really know any of the actors that well outside of the movie. Heath Ledger was pretty much the only exception, and I've only ever seen him in one other movie. Oh yeah, and Michael Caine was Scrooge in Muppet Christmas carol, which I have basically memorized from repeated exposure, but I have no memory for faces, so it really doesn't matter anyways.

I pretty much forgot about Heath Ledger the minute the Joker showed up. I think that guy actually became his charecter while he played him; I'm not sure if I've ever seen that before to that extent.

Anyone think that the lack of eye contact was just a little Aspie? And oh-so-sexy? I could not catch his eyes. But they were alive. Everyone else's eyes weren't, if you know what I mean.

In a way, I'm glad Ledger is dead. The Joker lives.

Guys, don't believe any rumors about a third one. There isn't a script. There isn't anything yet. They don't even know what they're going to be doing.

Saw it for the third time on Friday. Still awesome. I'm starting to memorize it by now. For some strange reason I keep getting the line "No, I kill the bus-driver," stuck in my head. :?
