anyone else annoyed at whoever made this movie? i enjoyed the dragonball series, and this movie producer took something good and made it crap. apparently, goku rides a motorbike instead of nimbus.

Funny as I was just doing my latest check up on information of this film, here is the latest trailer

I also checked it on another site in HD the graphics looked quite good. The idea has actualy been growing onto me, I think they made a decision to leave out certain things like talking pigs, cats, magic clouds and sadly Krillin. I am hoping this will go well they probably have ripped the plot apart, but at least from what I know Piccilo is not going to be as pale as what the early screen shots had him, and some scenes look quite good, though I don't realy like what I think must have been Shenron. Apparently there will also be Goku into the Great Ape form, don't know how they will do it though. Well if this movie goes well and possibly "Last Blood" then apparently you can probably look forward to a bunch of others including the big roumer of Keanu Reeves playing Spike Spiegle.

Meh, I'll still go see it.

I never liked Dragonball that much since I saw an episode that totally scared me for a long time, I've saw the advert for the film but I probably won't see it.

Krillin isn't in it? wtf he's like the main charater next to goku

I saw the trailer for that. Until the word 'Dragonball' came up at the end, I thought it was just some other crappy movie. Even when the title came up, I was still not conviinced.

I'm most worried about Goku's charater. He's very different from the usual hero angsty teen which scaringly enough he looks like in this trailer. Goku eats, is forever happy, naive and has so much self confidence and determination he sometimes seems borderline insane. The only time he is ever serious is when it comes down to a fight saving the world, and even then its not guaranteed.

If they screw up the plot but have the same goofy goku there I think I could forgive them, but if they turn him into every other angsty self doubting teen then its just not a movie about goku, its a movie about a stranger with the same name.

I have a feeling the movie is going to blow. After seeing the preview, I have convinced myself that it will suck. I miss the emotional feeling from the anime version.

Well apparently it has been released in the Asian countries, the reviews have been mostly been negative, mostly for the comparison to the original, work, IMDB's reviews are mostly either 1/10 or a few fairly high, though it does sound as bad as some have feared.

These movie producers shouldn't take a successful manga/anime and change it so much. I hear that the Death note movie was pretty good because it followed the Manga quite closely. This doesn't look anything like Dragonball or Dragonball Z.

Does the studio want this to flop when it's released in April?

Apparently they do because it's coming out the same day as the Hannah Montana movie.

The movie looks horrendous, but to be fair, I don't think that it is possible to bring Dragonball to live action and not make it look incredibly stupid.
