Me and my sister one bought the book (it only cost a couple of quid anyway) and we also bought a red pen. We decided to read the book and write all over it (like all the bits that were badly written and all the things about the plotline that sucked).
It's torture, honestly.
I like consistant imagery, but I'm sick to death of hearing 5 times in a row that Forks was green; I am sick to death of hearing that her car"came to life"; I am tired of hearing about how pale and skinny she is (apparently, she has tranlucent skin as well- she should see a doctor about that).
And Edward is so boring and controlling and undermines his girlfriend's intelligence (she is stupid, don't get me wrong, but you just don't belittle your girlfriend like that). And guess what? She doesn't even TRY to defend herself because she's too "in love" with him.
And the Cullens are Mary Sue's just like Bella and I feel sorry for her dad (Officer Swan- come one- seriously, Meyer!).
There's just too much wrong with this book, it hurts my brain!
GRRR! The book is so boring and everyone in my school likes it! I hope that when I leave school, people won't annoy me about not liking Twilight!
My friend who sits next to me in Spanish is in love with the books and she is literally obsessed with the characters and the themes (which are so basic and boring).
I don't read a lot, but I once read an Anne Rice book (I think it was "The Vampire Lestat") and while I was a little freaked out by the obvious incest and sexual intimacy of the characters, THEY WERE, AT LEAST, REAL VAMPIRES THAT DIDN'T SPARKLE!! !!
I don't think she'd read it (because the main characters would have to be "good guys"). Urgghh.....
My seven year old cousin can write better than Stephenie Meyer.....
