Chloe Obrien on 24 and The IT Crowd (and aspergers )

Anyone watch the IT Crowd? I've seen the first episode and I think it's hilarious. The guys on it seem to have AS.


I was reading an article about 24 on the New Statesman where he says Chloe Obrien has Aspergers and belongs in the IT Crowd:

Thoughts about this or the IT Crowd?

I've thought Chloe was AS or AS-Like for a while. She's actually my favorite character on 24.

I've not seen "The IT Crowd".

i didn't realise it was being shown outside the UK.

i've seen four episodes so far, but the last two episodes weren't nearly as funny as the first two, in my opinion.

my current signature (the one about the soldering iron) is a quote from the IT crowd.

Maurice maybe. Roy seems a bit more socially skilled. He's just a slob.
(Roy even gets a date in the third episode.)

I imagine there are many aspies who do well in IT jobs. And I'm sure the old stereotype of the techie with bad social skills has a fair bit to do with Asperger's.
It's good if people see that aspies can succeed at work. On the other hand, I hope the people out there understand that there's more to A.S. than just being a geek!



I agree! I've found the last two episodes pretty disappointing.

Ive been saying Chloes AS since season 3

i have to admit, i think she's 'smokin' myself..i usually watch that show every week, even before she starred on it, but if they kill her off, i'll quit watching..
