I'm liking Justice League Unlimited more and more.

It's the perfect blend of over the top, silly comic book action with some really interesting themes hiding underneath.

I loved the Cadmus storyline and "Epilogue" made for a great... epilogue. :D

of course, this is good too.

Loved the first batman series the most but the rest were good and sometimes great (except for the Zeta project one).

The biggest disappointment for me outa them was Batman Beyond. Not because it was bad but because they didn't take it far enough and kept fumbling the writing. The new Batman (I forget his name) kept getting his arse handed to him and getting rescued by the people he set out to save. I kept waiting for more on the level of the return of the Joker one and the Justice league, Static Shock, Batman Beyond crossovers.

I know what you mean. They most certainly didn't keep it long enough. :( Well, he was still learning. That was why they should have made it longer. I always have trouble deciding which of the two I like best. BTAS, or BB. They're both so great. We don't have cartoons like that anymore. I hate the stuff they come up with today.

Yeah, I really loved the concept of Batman Beyond, but the execution of it was hit and miss. When it was good, it was very, very good, and when it was not so good, well....

Return of The Joker (uncut) is one of my favorite Batman movies animated or otherwise and the Batman Beyond/JLU tie-in in Epilogue was brilliant.

I was mad on b-tas and jl as a kid, i loved the toys as well. i even had the batman toy that was coloured gray as he should be. all the others were stupid colors. seeing btas on saturday mornings made the week worth it as a kid. it got me into comics too.

Aww, come on now, what’s not to like about Batgirl bouncing off the hood of a police car or Batman jamming Bane’s venom tube into a light socket?

:P

PS

Some JLU goodness...

If Bruce Timm ever started making movies set in the DCAU what would you like to see?
I wouldn't mind seeing an origin for the Joker and he and Batman crossed paths for the first time.
Any other suggestions?

i noticed HUGE plot holes in this episode: Scarecrow killed Barbara, not batman, so why is the commisioner chasing after him. also, why would barbara keep batman's secret identity in her computer? that's the kind of writing in tnba i hate

What, the kind of writing that requires you to pay attention? :P

Gordon went after Batman because he felt betrayed. Betrayed that Bats would put his daughter at such risk...

Also, Gordon already knew who Batman was...

And besides, the whole thing was a drug induced nightmare--the sum of Barbra Gordon's fears.

PS

Sorry, I keep forgetting you are a fan of The Batman... how could you be expected to appreciate such subtlety?

:P

There's a new series called Young Justice coming soon. It's about the sidekicks and partners of members of the Justice League. It's not set in the DCAU but the animation is similar.
