I prefer mostly female vocalists as well, although I don't really follow many pop singers. These are the ones I like who do music that might be considered pop.

1. Katie Noonan from george - she has a killer voice... not sure if people outside of Australia know of her
2. Sia Furler, soloist and from Zero 7
3. Kylie Minogue - it's good to see she hasn't been following the urban/r&b trend like a lot of other female pop singers
4. Avril Lavigne
5. Esthero

Short list, but I could not possibly think of that many female pop vocalists off the top of my head. Also, I would have put the girls from the Corrs in there, but they're not really soloists like everyone else who's been mentioned.

yeah avril and kylie are wicked vocalists but i havent heard of the other ones

Right now, it's Evanescence's Amy Lee. It used to be Free Dominguez of Kidneythieves, but she went solo and her style isn't nearly as cool now.

Oh yeah and Alizee belongs on my list too. A friend of mine on MSN recently got me onto her. Her style is similar to Kylie Minogue's on her Light Years/Fever albums.
