I love all things Star Wars, the Movies, Games, Books etc..

I saw the first film when I was about 11 but I'm not one of those whiners who think the OT is better. I liked the CGI improvements for the DVD version of the OT and I like the NT

1. Favorite sith (doesn't have to be from the movies)
Darth Maul - I just love those moves.

2. Favorite Jedi(same rules apply)
Mace Windu - I just wish he'd say the MF word I keep expecting him to use....
ie: "This party's over motherf......"

3. Favorite Planet (from any Star Wars films, literature, etc.)
Probably Nar Shaddar or Kamino. I'd like to have seen more of them.

4. Favorite Star Wars Movie (if you really want, it can be one of the animated ones)
Revenge of the Sith.

The cgi improvements to the original trilogy are mostly fine, except for a little thing that the casual viewer wouldn't see. This is a major issue witht he fans, and always has been since 97. In A New Hope, Han shot Greedo first with his pistol before Greedo could kill Han. While working on the special editions, George thought that that part made Han look like a bad person, so he decided to make Greedo shoo first by fractions of a second. The shot misses at point blank range while han's shot hits and kills greedo. If you slow this part down, you notice that Han dodges the bullet. He somehow extends his neck to the side, unrealistically and the bullet misses. It litterally slides to the side as if his neck was made of gelatin. You'd have to look for it to see what I mean.

Either Mustafar or Coruscant.

While I agree with the sentiment. It IS in Han's Character to shoot first....

I've watched the whole of ANH several times over including that scene. To be honest, the whole thing happens so fast that it really doesn't matter.

One thing that I have noted though is that my kids, who have never seen the original films just accept it as normal.

In ANH 2.0 (the first special edition), Jabba's appearance was not good. It grated badly, especially Solo's tail stepping antics. They've made a lot of progress for 2.1 (the DVD version).

I'm happy with the inclusion of Anakin as a young ghost. The logic isn't watertight but I guess that if he was given a choice, he'd want to come back that way. It's possible that Obi was happy being old.

.... and surprisingly, I'm actually very happy with the 2.1 changes to the end of ROTJ to include Naboo and the Gungans, plus a better shot of the Jedi Temple.

I'm looking forward to TPM (which I personally really liked) having a digital Yoda (confirmed) and hopefully (please George ! !!) better rendering of the Gungans - and better personalities, less embarrassing acting from Jar Jar. I can deal with Jake Lloyd, he wasn't as bad as all that, though he had terrible lines.

In AOTC, I didn't have a problem with the romantic aspect which people said was a bit unrealistic because I actually think it's more accurate. Considering that Padme, because of her station and early-life activities, probably wasn't "allowed" romantic entanglements and considering that Anakin would have the desire of a young boy but the innocence and emotional capacity of a priest (ie: Zero experience), any romance between the two of them would be awkward in the extreme. A line in there somewhere, to suggest that because of their heritage, they age at slightly different rates probably wouldn't go astray either.

1. Darth Vader

2. all Jedi are about the same to me

3. Endor

4. Return of the Jedi

Question: Did anyone else have the original trilogy (and derived works) as their special interest growing up, and then have their worlds pretty much destroyed when the prequels came out? So much changed in the prequels and was just plain wrong (in my opinion) that it totally ruined my life. Anyone else?

I would like to Force Grip and Impale Natalie Portman, she needs acting lessons, better yet, a career change.

Doesn't have to be from the movie. Did anyone publish this fan-fictional character?
A guy explain to me what Star Wars was about (it was a huge book and they made several movies out of the book, from back in the 1960's -- who knew?) and I really got into S.W. as a kid (big time) but then you grow old......... and

Anyway... awhile back I was browsing youtube for all the off-beaten-stuff and came across this... the guy is some kind of freelance film-maker or something. He's very talented.

STAR WARS DARTH MAUL
In a galaxy far far away.
If Every Saga has a Begining, Then Every SITH has a History, and Every Tale must be told...
This is the tale of a young Darth Maul, as he passes the trails of Pain and becomes the most lethal apprentice the Sith order has ever known,,,,,

Manaan was a beautiful place. Dantooine was slightly better to me, but both are beautiful.

Much better than modern "realistic" graphics.

I'm going to challenge myself to read from the NJO book series to the FOTJ series by the end of the year. I want to immerse myself with the NJO/ legacy era which I'm not too familiar with outside of general knowledge I've gleaned from wikipedia.

Hmm... NJO is not a bad series. Not always good, but certainly not bad. Though it's not as "Star Warsy" as things like the Thrawn trilogy. The last book in the series, The Unifying Force is amazing though. It's worth buying even if you don't have all the books in the series, which I don't. Not all of them really matter like all the books in other series do. Traitor and The Unifying Force are two of the more momorable ones though.

Legacy of the Force though, I had heard so many had things about the series that I didn't buy any of the books until this year. The first book is good, I like the story so far.

Anyway, they should be worth the money, depending on how much you like Star Wars literature.

A big debate is whether or not Vader new Luke was his son during ANH my personal opinion is that he did not. Why I think that is because I feel that Obi Wan may have used the force to be able to block his ability to sense Luke's (and Leia's) relation to him (as I would assume that Anakin would be able to realize Luke was his son) but when Obi Wan was killed the block was released and Anakin was now able to see the truth about Luke (and Leia) because if you think about it Leia's parents just happened to be his wifes close friends who had a different heritage than her. I would think it would be pretty obvious. And for Luke he is living with his Half Brother and his wife and he still uses the last name Skywalker! I would think that Vader would realize this if especially when Owen and Beru were ordered to be killed to find the Droids. Which is why I think there was a Force Block by Obi Wan to keep Vader from seeing the obvious truth.

He never considered Leia to be his daughter, all Vader knew was that Padme was carrying a/one child: Luke, the block protected Luke because he was with his family and Leia was on Alderaan protected by the Organa's. He found out about Leia after Luke found out he had a sister.

Maybe Skywalker is as common as Smith?

Maybe the sensing goes both ways. He only sensed Leia because Luke knew about her and he sensed Luke's feelings.

He had Leia under torture (with absolutely no Jedi protection) and never felt a thing. After all, she didn't know either.
