Does anyone watch movies and listen to music repeatedly?

Nah, I generally avoid relistening/rewatching. If only because I know there's so much out there that I'm not liable to get to everything.

For me, art is always educational and while reviewing the material is helpful sometimes to learn more, there is usually something better out there that conveys the information better then the piece you are reviewing.

I had to watch Lion King everyday after school or I would have a meltdown. My tape still runs and I still would watch Lion King everyday if I wasn't so busy. I used to watch Titan A.E. twice a day everyday for a while.

I've lost track of how many times I've watched Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I've seen it so much that I know nearly all of the lines. I always start watching it from the part where the children enter the factory, because frankly I don't care about seeing the kids get their Golden Tickets. All I want to see is Willy Wonka.

Once I get my hands on the DVD of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I know I'm going to watch it an insane number of times, because my obsession with it surpasses even that of CatCF.

I've listened to "She'd Rather Be With The DJ" by Hardnox literally hundreds of times. I crunched some numbers and found out that I've spent close to 19 hours of my life listening to it. I just really like the way it sounds - the looping guitar riffs and drum beats, the way the rap flows. I've even made up a fictional character loosely based on the titular DJ from the song, which is a big reason why it still hasn't gotten old to me.

I repeatedly play songs I really like more often than movies I really like. I usually listen to my favorite songs on Youtube. I probably only listen to songs more often because watching movies consumes more time.

I've listened to my favourite songs about 30 times in a row without stopping. I've watched movies 3 times in a row, but I usually watch them once a day for several days.

I can listen to the same song and the same album (if the album is really good or on Stereo 8 or Cassette tape) over and over again. Good thing for CD Players, Auto Reverse Cassette Players, and 8-Track Players, as there is an endless play feature available on all three.

I listen to some song or watch some movie like 350 times in a row enjoying it every time.

Hell i watched FLCL so many times I don't even need to have subtitles on.

Yup, my mum hates me doing it, though she has no real reason for that, she just tells me "it's weird", to which I respond "yeah, and I'm weird!"

Yes, I'll listen to songs on repeat all the time. However, the repeated song will change, depending on my mood and how I'm feeling.

As for movies... well, I don't rewatch movies very often anymore (unless it's, say, WALL.E), but I did when I was a child. My brother, on the other hand, rewatches movies constantly - or, to my knowing, he still does (keep in mind that I dorm during the week, so I only see him on weekends). For example, he rewatched Elf so much that, when my mom and I decided to sit down and watch it at Christmas, the DVD got stuck at a certain scene and we couldn't go forward or back. The DVD would not come out of the DVD player, and we had to pry it out, so we could restart it, skip that scene, and continue watching the movie. No joke.
Now that I think about it, though, I do get urges to rewatch movies (Right now, it's Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie)... but I guess the urge isn't strong enough for me to follow through on it, you know?

Certainly... For me the movie / TV item is the Star Trek Voyager TV series which I have watched end to end 4 or 5 complete times now... I just love Seven of Nine, the ultimate Aspie. My music obsession is the Mark Knopfler song, "What It Is". On the first day I heard that song I listened to it about 50 times before the day was over and can still listen to it a dozen times a day without getting tired of it. Of course it gets me so wound up that I cannot sleep, so I had to quit listening to it right before bedtime.

I'll get a song in my head and then I'll listen to it (and only it) over and over and over until I get another song stuck. It's not maddening to me, but others don't really get it. My girlfriend and family just kinda shake their head at it. In regards to movies, I don't really have the time to watch one over and over nowadays (loss of free time SUCKS) but I can watch a movie trailer over and over and over, sometimes in the hopes that someone around me will notice and experience the same level of thrill I get watching it. Once again, head shaking.

I do it with the Harry Potter trailers (a very huge obsession of mine) but the fact that I work and go to college have diminished this trait....good thing? Maaaaaybe.

Mostly music....There are certain notes that I listen too over and over again. For example in this song. Listen to the 2:17 bit in the video. In this version I cannot stop repeating that small bit. I'm not sure why but when it when it happens I cannot stop repeating it. And it happens with other music as well.

Monk, original Star Trek, Mash, Quantum Leap, Doctor Who are all series I can watch over and over. Frasier, Malcolm in the Middle... I'm sure there are a few others. Right now it's Mash.

Other than that it's music. I once went through a phase of watching foreign language films over and over, which really helped my French and Russian.
