Has anyone ever watched an awesome, epic movie so much that it wears out and becomes itself boring? It's really depressing. :(

I enjoyed Iron Man, but Iron Man 2 is dumb and boring in my opinion.

This movie called "Black Robe" it was really boring and almost put me to sleep. I had to watch if for school. It was about the native people having conflict with the Europeans when they came to North America, it made no sense and was really boring.

I also found "As Good as It Gets" kind of boring. It was really slow moving.

I didn't like Robinhood 2010 all that much either, I liked to music though. That was the best part of the movie. I only saw it to see someone who was in it on the big screen.

Black Robe is the boring movie out of these by far.

I liked Robin Hood until the 3rd act but the doors are open for a sequel.

How could I have forgotten As Good AS It Gets? That movie was so bad and boring, my wife and I couldn't even finish it. I don't know how Nicholson could even take that stinker of a role.

I expect people to strongly disagree with me on some of these, and that's OK... everyone is entitled to their opinion. Anyway...

Sling Blade
Forrest Gump
The Grudge (though the original is pretty good. America has a thing for completely destroying Asian movies these days)
Taking Lives
Cloverfield
Skeleton Key
Dread (so far from the Clive Barker short story, it's an unforgivable travesty)
Matrix Revolutions (I love the first two... I don't know what happened here)
Hellraiser - Deader (as stupid as the name "Deader" implies)
Hellraiser - Hellworld (even worse)
Rob Zombie's Halloween (I liked his first two movies. But why the hell did he have to take such a great franchise and completely redneck it up?)
Jason X
Godzilla (1998)
The Fantastic Four
Irreversible ("Suspenseful and disturbing"? Pffft...)
Alien vs. Predator (I'm glad Predators was good... hopefully Alien will also recover somehow)

Just saw a news item today that 'lost footage' has been found of 2001.
Possibly some 17 minutes, no subplots, probably just bits.
So now the most Boringest Movie of all Time just got LONGER ! !!

For the record, I do not feel this way regarding 2001, but many people have mentioned it on this board. I think it has to do with people's attention spans getting short, and the lack of dialogue in the film.

I love 2001, so I'll have to check this out. :)

My top boring movie is "In the name of the king" of Uwe Boll. Man, I've never seen a movie as bad and pathetic as that. It's the worst way to loose 2 or 3 hours of your time.

I know that this would surprise many and critize me whatever you want but "Inception" was extremely boring to me, I even couldn't end to watch it. The idea was very good and original, but the execution... very awkward. The characters were pretty uncharismatic and uninteristing, and the story was told in a very confusing and incompressible way. The action scenes seemed to were inspired of 3D GTA games XD and for that were surrealistic and simple in a bad mode. I don't understand why it has been so overrated.

Anyways,

To Gillian on her 37th Birthday. Boring, even though it was shot in my hometown. The scene where he's in front of the grave, is my family plot. The angel on the left, is the grave of my little sister; she died in 1991.

Werckmeister Harmonies

A European movie that's known for its extensive use of long takes and absence of narrative. You'd think it would be interesting; a hollowed-out whale carcass being used as a traveling museum...

Movie ends up on many pretentious peoples' top 10 best films lists.

From your description it sounded like my kind of film so I looked it up on IMDB and realized it is directed by Bela Tarr. I have tried to watch Damnation by him a few times and have not been able to get through more than about 1/2 hour. And I like slow moving, metaphysical films.

The Grudge.

For a horror movie, it's just unbelievably boring. There's only so much you can do in a PG-13 movie to try to make it thrilling.
