As for the poll, when it says cartoons, does it include anime, or just western cartoons?

Hi Neuroman, I prefer comic books to TV as the latter gives me a headache... some comics I like are Dreadstar (that's an old one!), Red Sonja, X Men, Conan, Daredevil, Hellboy, to name just a few.

I'm assuming this topics about kids cartoons, and I haven't watched any for a long time so I can't really answer...

Of course I've always loved the Simpsons (especially the first nine seasons), which has degraded society's definition of a kids show. I got the first six seasons on DVD, and it's interesting to note how channel 10 edits some episodes after screening them the first few times so it's good to see them uncut again, especially the first season, which they don't screen at all anymore.

YES! I used to watch Fraggle Rock when I was a kid. I still enjoy the catchy tune at the beginning.

I have that theme song in German. It's funny, hehehe.

As for me, I prefer cartoons. Though it's true: the only part I ever read of the newspaper is the comics. But then again, I adore Garfield, so...

2. Spongebob Squarepants
3. Doug
4. Ren & Stimpy
5. Fairly Odd Parents
6. The Simpsons
7. Family Guy
8. Rocko's Modern Life
9. Rugrats

Since Bill Watterson retired, I don't read the newspaper comics anymore, but I do like "Sinfest" by Tatsuya Ishida. It doesn't have circulation (probably due to all the swears), but it's cute/amusing sometimes, and pokes fun at religion. You can read it for free at Sinfest.net I also like Liberty Meadows by Frank Cho, and "Get Your War On" by David Rees, both available on-line. Rees actually manages to find the darkly amusing aspects of the War on Terror. Also, "Red Meat" by Max Cannon is funny and disturbing.

Don't go much for comic books/graphic novels-although "Barry Ween" by Judd Winick is cool. And of course anything by Johnen Vasquez.

Cartoons: Invader Zim, of course, and an anime series my friend did the subtitiles for, called "Hell Sing."

If you must consider all forms of animation cartoons:
Titan A.E.
Lion King
