I have just been so busy with TAFE I have not had much time for other things, the only anime at the moment that I have been watching on a continuos basis at the moment have been Fairy Tail, Astarotte and second season of God Only Knows. Actually the first season's op of God Only Knows aslo has a really good theme song, the one used in the opening is standard 1:30 long and is pretty cool, but the full length is a wopping 8 minutes long, and really has some different parts to it then the standard song have a second part very similar.

I agree on the Spice and Wolf songs I actually have a certain fondness of the ED song.

That includes series, I hope? I only own 4 anime dvd box sets, and Kanno is the credited composer on 3 of them. The Ghost In The Shell: SAC opening theme (performed by Russian singer Origa) is one song I've mixed emotions about: on one hand, it's beautiful and glorious, on the other hand it always manages to creep me the F out, especially when it's screaming out my speakers in the DVD menus.

I'm a huge fan of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I knew from the moment I saw the opening that it would be a different series. I like how, unlike most anime songs, the predominant language is Russian rather than Japanese. I couldn't decide which opening theme I liked better, so here are both seasons. Unfortunately, I couldn't find unaltered clips of the actual openings, so instead these are the full versions of the songs.

I've got kind of a soft spot for heavy metal, so I was overjoyed to find out that the second theme from Death Note had a kind of System Of A Down-ish feel to it. I also found it hilarious that the North American dub decided to try to cover up the parts of the song where the f-bomb gets dropped (in English) by adding subtitles and trying to fool viewers into thinking it's in Japanese.
