WildThing, if you play the DVD it will be on your tv, so it will be like a tv program. You can pause the movie every 15 minutes or so as if there were commercials, and go use the bathroom or get a snack or stretch and walk around a bit.

It would be just like watching a tv program!

:)

I watched this immediately after renting it from my neighborhood library.

Jerry, this is a very good movie. Josh & Radha gave it their all in a movie which no studio wanted and an egotistical Norwegian director just had to mess up because of silly schedule conflicts. This film is the most wonderful seriocomedy I have seen since "Punch-Drunk Love." I love this movie except the music was something Jon Brion could have done for another movie. When I was watching this, my ignorant NT mother walked in on me watching it & threw a box of groceries at my head.

I'm sorry this didn't work out.

And she threw groceries at your head why?

Because my mom is an ignorant NT who was raised in a very religious setting.

A friend loaned me this movie. Both me and her saw parts of ourselves in this movie.

I think that's what makes the movie really good. My husband and I saw parts of me at times, but we both also recognized parts of him in there too (and he's NT) just because it's sort of universal yet the characters are Aspie.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie, especially Josh. I was disappointed there weren't higher functioning Aspies as characters, but I guess it's just one story. And I have to say, I thought the writer's commentary was obnoxious, I hated it and wish I'd never heard it. He seems to find us a curiosity and amusement, I just thank goodness he wasn't the director! However he intended certain scenes to be cute or funny in his condescending way, I'm glad the actors and director took it in a different, more real, direction.

I rented this last weekend and overall I enjoyed the movie. However, when I went to bed I had a nightmare that I'm pretty sure was a result of watching the movie. In it I saw conjoined triplet baboons. Anyhow, I definatley saws bits of my personality in this film and I'm hoping to watch it again with my mother and get her opinion.

I saw it today. I now have the question: Am I really like that?

That's how I felt...

When I bought it I was excited to show my family/friends...but now that I've watched it (though I did enjoy the movie) I'm worried about sharing it. I don't want them to think that that is all there is to me because I'm an aspie too. Or worse-- "You don't do that, so you must not have Asperger's" :?

I just finished watching it- the credits are rolling as I type. I don't have any questions. I KNOW I'm like that.

...But didn't they notice how DIFFERENT the characters were? Why do people always expect us all to be little clones of each other?
