I'm a big fan of Charlie Brooker! I'm not sure how well known he is outside the UK but he's done loads of great satirical shows like 'Screenwipe', 'Newswipe', 'How TV Ruined Your LIfe' etc. he has also written and produced 'Dead Set' and the current Channel 4 Series 'Black Mirror'.

you can find episodes of 'Screenwipe', 'Newswipe' and most of his work on the youtube channel "zthemusic"

IS there actually anything good on TV these days?
I have been mostly out of touch with TV for many years now.
I got tired of spending 20 min of every hour watching commercials.
Now I just wait for a show to go on to DVD and watch it commercial free.
