I was just watching rosario vampire and it just hit me. In almost every anime there are people with no friends that always try to kill off the main for being to poplar and taking their friends. It always ends one of two ways. If its a girl they become friends or if it's a guy they get beaten to a pulp and are never seen again. Could these poor guys be a good example to being an aspie?

Hmmm. I need examples for this one. I don't watch that many anime series, but the ones I did watch didn't seem to feature the type of character you describe.

That is, unless you count all the redeemed villains from the shounen show Dragon Ball. There's Tenshinhan, Piccolo, and Vegeta. I guess they all learned valuable lessons about the power of love and friendship.

I haven't seen this happen in Bebop or RahXephon, or Evangelion or Gundam. But then, that's about all I've watched.

Hmm trying to think about Rosario Vampire, did you mean Kurumu for becoming friends, and maybe the three fan club people for be beaten up, well I could arguably throw Gin in, who becomes friends. I thought the three were just supposed to represent creepy otaku

I don't really see a lot of evidence of the bad guys like that just being missunderstood aspies.

One of my favourite fairly recent anime that showed characters with aspieish social issue was Boku wa Tomodachi ga sukanai (I Don't Have Many Friends), where some of the characters can come off somewhat hostile, some of what characters said sounded familiar to be in the sense of disliking how people look down on you for not having many friends.

Out of the mainsteam manga (FMA, DB and DBZ, deathnote): Possibly scar and Edward elric and the ones already mentioned in dragon ball. Deathnote- L and N are obvious.

You mean like this?:

(not sure posting a semi-huge picture is okay, so here's the link to the picture)

Not sure I agree with the text but the two came to my mind immediately.

While I'm unfamiliar with these characters, I like the picture. A guess: the character on the left is quirky and awkward in her interactions, and the one on the right is a complete introvert who doesn't care for social contact?

The one on the left has next to no understanding of other peoples feelings, some say she is like a sociopath, she has blackmailed, molested another girl (put her in various fetishy outfits), broken into people's homes, sees guys like "pumpkins" and gets bored very easilly.

The one on the right almost seems completly emotionless, spending most of her time reading, answering in the most simple way possible, but on complex matters has trouble putting explanations into easilly understood answers, some of her quirks come from not understanding how thing work. More important would probably be her human version, a very shy girl who has trouble with interacting with others, being very awkward, and avoiding eye contact.

By the way, the series is; The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I guess a bit, but if you take look at what a lot of otakus are like, they act very much like that. Well they are pretty good socially between themselves, Mizore is even worse.

L and Near from Deathnote. Maybe Orihime from Bleach as well as Mayuri I am pretty sure hes definatly Aspie. Who else hmmm? Winery from Full Metal Alchemist she is soo obsessed with metal and likes to tinker with stuff. Maybe Mephisto from Blue Exorcist. Haruko from Fooly Cooly and possibly Sai from Naruto.

That would explain why he was my favorite character besides Rin. Speaking of Blue Exorcist, I really want to finish that series. I started watching it a couple of months ago but only got as far as the episode with Father Fujimoto's demon cat in it, so almost halfway through the series.
