I enjoyed this, especially the music. But even though the ending had a sense of optimism, I was unsure how to feel about it. I guess it's what you call a "bittersweet" ending: Terrible things have happened in the past, but there is always hope for the future. It's a nice sentiment, and I like to think it's true.

I also went back for a second viewing of The Avengers today. I enjoyed it even more the second time.

I just saw the film and it was awesome! Robert Downey Jr. was a riot in this film.

American Reunion
I was pleasantly surprised by this, it was much better than I expected it to be.

Today for Mothers Day, my sister & I took our mom to see The Avengers
at the neighborhood theater.

This movie ROCKS so much ass and I would not be very surprised if
Joss Whedon is brought back by the same studio that distributes the Batman movies
to write & direct a Wonder Woman movie.

For this, everyone in the main ensemble did a really fantastic job
and Clark Gregg {Agent Coulson} & Jeremy Renner {Hawkeye}
are such scene-stealers.

I saw the Avengers a few days ago and it was a pretty fun popcorn flick. I was a bit lost at parts because I haven't seen Thor or Captain America (saw the rest of the Marvel films though) but for the most part it was all pretty clear, not like it mattered much anyways though as it was really just a kick back and have fun movie.

Inglourious Basterds - Recorded it from TV, a few months ago, long enough that it's back to being shown again this week.

I took my wife to see The Avengers yesterday for Mothers Day. It was flippin' AWESOME!
And in addition, I thought Mark Ruffalo would have some pretty big shoes to fill since Norton left the role - -but if anything, Ruffalo is now Bruce Banner.

Need to catch up! I'll try to keep it brief.

-Project Nim (2011)
A documentary about a study in the 1970s involving teaching a chimp to communicate with sign language and act like other humans. Not too bad a documentary, but pales in comparision to James Marsh's previous doc, "Man on Wire."

-Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter? (1957)
A desparate advertising executive attempts to get an actress (Jayne Mansfield) to endorse a lipstick, but instead winds up on a roller coster ride which sees him becoming the actress's "boyfriend" and getting all the success he's ever hoped for. A plesently surprising and funny comedy that, despite its age, still succeeds in poking fun at the entertainment and advertising businesses.

-Underworld (2003)
Kate Beckinsdale plays a vampire whose purpose is to kill the enemy of their race: lycans. However, she stumbles onto a plot that could possibly shatter the mythos of that rivalry. This film offers what you see on the surface and nothing more. Not a horrible action film, but it's certainly not as thoughtful or entertaining as others.

-A Star Is Born (1976)
The third version of the tragic romance between a fading celebrity and one on the rise. Unlike the first two films, which had the roles as film stars, this one has them as musicians (Barbra Steisand and Kris Kristofferson). A catchy soundtrack (which helped it earn an Oscar), but the film still finds itself stuck in the shadows of the original 1937 classic and the even better 1954 version with Judy Garland and James Mason.

-Major League (1989)
A high-class widow inheirets the Cleveland Indians and attempts to sabotage the team so she can move them. This results with the Indians trying to survive a season with a roster of misfits and has-beens. If Bull Durham is my favorite minor league baseball film, than this one is my favorite for the pros. The comedy is pretty spot-on and very amusing. Features Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger, Corbin Bernsen, Rene Russo, and early roles from Wesley Snipes and Dennis Haysbert.

I would not be all that surprised if Norton, or come to think of it, Eric Bana, one or the other, is brought back for Hulk 3, if it is made, but I agree, Ruffalo IS now Bruce Banner and should be considered for Hulk 3, once it's greenlit.

IMOO, Jeremy Renner probably had the easiest part since he barely had any lines.

Blindness
(2008)

A doctor's wife becomes the only person with the ability to see in a town where everyone is struck with a mysterious case of sudden blindness. She feigns illness in order to take care of her husband as her surrounding community breaks down into chaos and disorder.

I read the book first and then watched the movie. It was okay. A lot of people thought of the "blindness" as more of a spiritual blindness than actually going blind. There's different ways to interpret this movie.

Back to the Future (the 1st one) - I thought it was epic and loved it. I vaguely remember seeing it a couple of years ago and thinking it was just OK. I wish I had my own DeLorean time machine so I could go back in time and kick my past self in the butt for not fully appreciating the awesomeness of BTTF the first time around. Oh well, it brought me lots of enjoyment this time around, and that's all that matters. :)

Avengers on 3 D.
I want to see MIB 3 when it comes out. It's been 10 years since MIB 2 came out.

Me too! I hope MIB III plays at my neighborhood theater so I can take my now ex-GF to see it in time for her birthday
as she is a big Josh Brolin fan.
