I just got back from seeing Hope Springs, where Meryl Strepp and Tommy Lee Jones play a couple in need of working out their relationship with the help of Steve Carell, who plays the counselor who helps them.

It was better than I thought it would be, some really funny moments.

Dark Knight Rises. Haven't been watching much in the way of movies as of late, been watching 24, wondering if Jack Bower could kick Chuck Norris' arse.

We watched Salt on TV last night/early this morning. A lot better than I thought it would be.

Watched "on the beach" & "fail-safe" yesterday. Quite good I thought. Fail safe was a lot more intense.

I watched "The Intouchables" a couple of days ago and it was so beautiful I don't even know what else to say about it. Great movie! Just... aww, perfect.

Then "Despicable Me", which is just fun. If I ever have a child it's totally getting the steelebook version. :)

And "Salt". It's actually nothing special except for the female main character... and she kicks ass! Finally not a woman who gets all wimpy and emotional in the end but is really tough, conflictiong and with this dark side all the time!

Just rewatched Casino Jack, which I own. Great movie that really illustrates the self-justifying that went on with sleazebags like Jack Abramoff and company.

Another Stephen King novel made into a movie. This one is about an evil hotel room.

I saw that one a couple of years ago. I just recently rented it again from Netflix so that when my Dark Shadows (2012) DVD gets here next week, I can give myself a vampire movie double feature. 8) Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Johnny Depp as vampires? *sighs* Yes please.

Girl, Interrupted

All around good movie. The acting and music is especially good. I really identified with the main character (played by Winona Ryder). The movie wasn't as sad as I was expecting it to be and it also had a happier ending than I expected.
