Well, I think I got the right answer here.

I lot of people will tell you that it is just that they are two-dimensional. Well, that is not the cause. Disney princesses are two dimensional and I don't find them attractive. Plus, I see girls in my school who look alot like pretty anime girls and i am attracted to them. So it isn't really that.

Some people say that it is that they are really skinny and have prefect skin
that has no acne or anything. Well super models and actresses on live action media are like that and I don't feel attracted to them and I am more attracted to those girls at my school and they got some skin flaws. But then again, if those media women had those skin flaws, than they would be more on the ugly side, so it's got to be more than just that.

Some people say that it is just the art style.
Well, I see anime girls that are of the same art style as the pretty ones and they don't look so attractive. So this isn't it either.

So if it is none of the above, then what is it?

I'll tell you what it is: face shape and body form.

You see, those anime girls that I am attracted to have features that actresses and models in the western media don't:
• A short nose
• A short wide face
• A head that is more of a circle shape
• A flat facial profile
• A small pointed chin
• Thin lips
• A Smallish body form
• Pale white skin (may be some do have. this one, I'm not sure, I guess you will have to correct me on this one if I am wrong)

So yes, Kiki, Nausicaa, Sheeta, Haruhi and all other anime girls that I am attracted to have those features. And so do my school crushes (well, except for the nose, but they aren't too long).

So ya, that's what I think. If you agree with me, them just tell about it on the bellow posts and if you don't, tell me about that too.

To each his own.

Animie characters seemed to be engineered to be "ethnically amibiguous".

They have round eyes like caucasian Westeners ( despite the fact that they are drawn by east Asians) but they have a petite build and a general look thats sorta cross between asian and White so that both Asians and Whites can identify with them ( or I suppose thats the motivation). The female characters can be attractive. But Arial the Murmaid still inspires more lust in me than does any animie girl.

There is some attractive celeb who it occured to me looked like an animie girl come to life, but I cant remember who it was now. Someone like Zoey Daschanel, but it wasnt Zoey Daschanel. Some dark haired girl. Ill think of it later.

I think it's better to say that they're their own race.
Plus, I have already answered this on my first post of the thread.

Actually, many Japanese girls who have rather large eyes themselves, despite the popular belief that the truth is in fact contrary. I think Anime characters tend to look more Japanese than any other ethnicity, but they're so stylised that it tends to have no real effect.

Actually, it does have an effect, and a great one too. Just because you can't point your finger at it, doesn't mean that it won't have a great effect.

I mean, a lot of anime girls are drawn at the same same art style as the beautiful ones and they don't look as attractive. They just look mediocre or ugly.
Plus, two girls can be drawn at different art stlyes and still look just as attractive as each other.

And also, on the first post of this thread I listed all the features that make them look attractive.
So if a girl had those features, I would find her attractive. So no, it has nothing to do with the art style, just mostly the "you-can't-point-your-finger-at-it" features.

I always thought it was because theyre drawn younger, have large childlike (hence innocent) eye shape, and most appear to be quite shy / introverted - thus vulnerable.

Males tend to respond extremely well to young, innocent vulnerable females - more so than dominant older females. Im assuming this is a biological breeding drive, that you will want a female mate that isnt infected with anything, is young enough to produce strong offspring, and is naive enough to remain with you and not go with other males.

Well, a lot of anime girls that I am attracted to don't have that personality and I still have crushes on them. So it has to do a lot more with the looks.

I have all ready answers this on the first post.

How about how wide her mouth is open when she's being tentacle-raped?
