I think anyone who's had a pubic broadcasting station in the area can answer this, no matter what country you're from.

Comedies, not just any show, mind.

The pubic broadcasters in my area don't start until very late in the evening, and they don't show a lot of comedies

Sorry, hyperlexia lol

My Family wasn't well-liked here in Britain, because we had endless commissionings of it even though most people didn't find it funny in the first place. Personally, I preferred the similarly irritatingly zany 1985 Hong Kong film starring future UK resident Richard Ng.

Hmm... I think things like Spitting Image, Bottom, Fawlty Towers, The Vicar of Dibley, On the Buses, Love Thy Neighbour (I'll get brickbats for suggesting this - oh boy!), One Foot in the Grave, Brass Eye, Pets, Men Behaving Badly, The Royle Family (though most of the Christmas specials are absolute tripe), Early Doors, stuff like that.

It's British.

I suspect those of you who like British comedies would love to take a look at the likes of Network's back catalogue of DVD releases. There's some amazing material in there, and also some duffers too.

Spitting Image and Keeping Up Appearances for me.

Oh, imagine the satirical puppets in today's mad society?

Monty Python's Flying Circus

That's all I really know, I'm afraid. Well, that and Fawlty Towers.

On PBS my favorites are Keeping Up Appearances and Are You Being Served. On Netflix there are several British TV shows to include comedies.

I do enjoy Jeeves and Wooster as well.

One sketch show I always thought was great, was Smack The Pony. I even preferred it to The Fast Show, which I found a bit repetitive when compared to Smack.
