Saw this last night. It was really good. It dealt with characters struggling with mental illness and addressed the issue of medication. I thought it was respectful and broke through a lot of stereotypes. It was nice to see a movie that handled this material with respect and understanding.

I understand that during filming, Robert DeNiro brought members of the movie crew to tears.
I don't know if this is the sort of movie I'd watch in the theater, but I will almost certainly catch it on DVD.

His performance was gut-wrenching at times. Jennifer Lawrence also has a real presence.

I thought Cooper's portrayal of bipolar was spot on. Manic, intense, delusional... come one, we've all seen or personally know this guy.

I love Jennifer Lawrence, too- as an actress, and as a person, because her interviews are awesome and she never bullshits.

I saw this a few weeks back. The whole movie, I wanted Bradley Cooper to forget about Nikki and move on with Jennifer Lawrence.

I don't understand the big deal with this movie. I thought it was pretty average.
