Picard is number one! I like Janeway and Archer about the same after that. And then Sisko. Kirk is a distant last. I can't stand arrogant pricks.

In that case I vote for Khan (the Ricardo Montalbán version) as my favorite Captain. "From the hells heart I stab at thee."

Um, Commander SpockCat would like to remind you that Jim was the best captain ever!

I will concede that you are technically correct.

Torn between Kirk and Picard.

Then again, if it doesn't have the Enterprise in it I don't consider it to be Star Trek - IMO the Enterprise is the main character of the series!

Janeway. She knew how to get things done. All those Voyager villains should've known you don't mess with Flemeth.

Picard is basically the embodiment of what you want in a leader. He has his foibles, he is a complete character, but he is also the finest leader I have ever seen on tv, film, or in real life.

If we are talking non series lead captains, I rate Matt Decker highly, it was a crap situation for him.

Janeway and Picard.

Sisco was okay but I didn't like DS9.

I never liked Kirk at all.

I haven't seen the Enterprise series.
