I just watched the first few episodes of Watamote. Even though I'm not nearly as much into anime as many of my friends are, I do enjoy it occasionally, and Watamote is one of the best, most unique ones I've seen in a while. It was mentioned in another thread on here, and I found that I could relate to the main character in quite a few ways.

I loved that show, but my empathy pains were almost unbearable. Her father is a champ. You know why.

"empathy pains"

Well said, Agdgdgwngo.

I have caught up on a lot of stuff from the current season, since I don't have to worry about any homework yet.

Mangosteen!

I finished My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering With My School Romantic Comedy. I felt sad that it only had 10 episodes, and I hope to see more. I think the writers have a lot of laughs left in those gags of theirs.

Erabe!
Some of those jokes are very good, Noucome is a very funny series.

And with that, have you seen Date A Live, they have some similar styles in comedy, although more serious and overall more satisfying.

Just about to finish Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha, my first finished one for the season (not counting Robot Girls Z), itself at only 10 episodes. Some really good shows end up being so short, one that comes to mind is Mondaiji-tachi (Problem children are coming from another world), and Black Rock Shooter was only 8 episodes.

flcl and This is Greenwood only had 6 each, and those are two of my top 20 anime.

I haven't seen the others you mentioned, but I'll check them out. BRS has been on my to-watch list for a while.

The characters in Mental Choices have so much potential, I may have to try to pick up the manga. I just don't feel like reading extra-curricular material, having such an intense curriculum (19 hrs) right now.

Just finished Inari Konkon Koi Iroha today and it's definitely a series I'm getting on DVD. Short and sweet but with consistent animation, great characterisation, comic timing and a lovely sense of progression. I'm really hoping there'll be a second series as there's still plenty of manga material left for them to adapt.

And I'm totally loving Gin no Saji right now too. Great times.

How exciting. Sentai Filmworks are releasing Shinsekai Yori - now there's a project I didn't think would get a Western release, but stranger things have happened. Totally getting that on DVD.

Seems all of a sudden, I have a lot of anime I want to collect - Magi, Garden of Words, now Shinsekai Yori... and it seems to Aniplex USA have picked up the rights to Silver Spoon. I hope they don't take forever with it like they are with the Madoka movies...

That said, am curious as to what new-to-Japan spring anime some people are looking forward to -- I mean, apart from the obvious (Fairy Tail, Soul Eater Not!)... Mushishi is one on my list.

In terms of where I live, Australia, I know the distributer Hanabee picked it up.

In terms of buying DVDs, I recently picked up quite a bit this month with earlier getting AKB0048 Next Stage and Girls und Panzer. Just yesterday I got Sword Art Online V4, Fairy Tail Movie, Binbogami ga (Good Luck girl) and Rinne no Lagrange (Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne). And next month looking at Girls und Panzer OVAs, Accel World, Fairy Tail V8, the second half of Fate/Zero, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic collection 1, and Vividred Operation. I actually have to figure out a way to display more DVDs as I have used up my main shelves and am starting to remove Live action shows and movies.

Next week is going to be all the last episodes of the season so with my course starting and all the new shows, it is going to be busy.

My soul is still crushed from that, yet I probably would make myself go through it again given the chance.

I already have the first Mushishi box set, so I definitely intend to watch the new one. I don't know what else I'll watch, though.

I have a lot of Sentai releases on my shelf. I really like some of the quirky stuff they release, but I only wish that they'd include more special features on their discs.

I am. I've been an anime fan since 2003. I used to watch Yu Yu Hakusho, Pokemon, Saint Seiya, and others. Now, I'm into serious anime that centers on women, like Adolescence of Utena, Vampire Knight, Paradise Kiss, and Strawberry Panic (my secret favorite). :o

I have not really seen much of the examples you put, but I might offer some recommendations. Servant x Service is surprisingly not kinky at all and is about having a normal job in a for the most part normal civil service office, and very funny. Kimi no Todoke, or Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun are nice little romance anime, both are about girls who have trouble getting friends, the first because she looks scary and the second because she would rather study. Senki Zesshou Symphogear has some nice action and music. Sunday Without God is a beautiful anime, the heroine might be a little on the young side compared to what you listed but it might be just what you want as it is quite mature (not in a bad way). I would say that Seitokai Yakuindomo is primarily around the female cast, is filled with them constantly saying dirty jokes to the annoyance of the responsible characters. Bodacious Space Pirates might also be something to check out, the heroine in that one is quite cool.

I am not sure if you were saying you liked yuri stuff, although it seems to be part of Utena and Strawberry Panic, so on that I might recommend Sasameki Koto, and the current airing Sakura Trick has been popular.

And because this is an Asperger's forum, there is Watamote, which is recommended for anyone who has ever felt socially awkward.

And I totally forgot to mention Kill la Kill, which has been great. Or Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu, which has some great development with characters playing airsoft.

I most anticipate My Little Sister Is Unusual this week, although I really look forward to Sakura Trick tonight.

I make pervy fiction choices.

I'm currently into Black Butler. Man it would be awesome to have a demonic butler minus the soul eating part. I'm going to try out the series Full Metal Alchemist after finishing Black Butler. = Sebastian :x = Ciel

Butler hey?

I don't know if you only watch dubs but have you seen Pandora Hearts which is filled with dark pacts and I pretty sure one of the guys was a butler who the kind of whimsical demonic thing, Inu x Boku has body guards but there is more to them than meets the eye and demonic is one way to describe him, and the funiest of butler anime Hayate the Combat Butler (Hayate no Gotoku) which can have butlers anywhere from whimsically devoted to frightening kidnapers with their power.
