His Showbiz Show pretty much sucks..

he's droll. it's not the same as funny.

Joe Dirte was ok; that fashion mag series he was in was funny at times; he's in some sitcom at the moment with the mom from "Married with Children" and that's unfunny, very forced.

Of course, to be fair, when I say NOT funny, I really mean not very funny in comparison to the things I find to be REALLY funny. I see David Spade as like.. average joe funny. Like.. priest and a rabbi walk into a bar funny. Or, pull my finger funny.

yeah, like pratfall comedy or something, a bit obvious. he's got a touch of the Peewee Herman creepiness though, the tiny boy-like thing.

You know how unfunny I think he is? When I turn on the tv and flip to Comedy Central, and the Showbiz Show is on, I get pissed that it isn't one of those sh***y 90s comedy movie reruns instead.

Very true. While we're at it, I think Will Ferrel (sp?) is painfully unfunny as well.

I haven't seen the showbiz show yet but I loved Spades similar sketch on SNL. Haven't like Ferrel since he left SNL that much. But when it comes to people who are flat out not funny, Carlos Mencia. I hate that man.

Ok, I make a thread about how unfunny Spade is, and you guys come in and mention Will Ferrel and Carlos Mencia? You people! They're no Dane Cooks.. but they make me laugh. David Spade makes me scowl. Two different categories entirely.

Obviously this has to do with taste, but.. you gotta give Ferrel some credit for Ron Burgundy.. and Mencia.. Most people who don't like Mencia are the kind of uber-liberals that make intelligent liberals look bad. (Not all.. just most.. probably).

when he first did anchorman i almost died everytime i saw that movie because it was so funny
and mencia is funny but he repeats himself alot especially if you had seen his stand up before you saw his show and the skit he did recently about rappers in jail was very predictable and unfunny
as for david spade......completely unfunny showbiz show is almost as pathetic as the tim and eric awesome show on adult swim which is complete garbage btw

I thought he was funny on SNL. I haven't seen The Showbiz Show, but I've heard mostly bad things about it.
