I remember watching this on day-time tv many years ago.
They are currently showing some reruns on a cable channel.
I think it's great, comedy genius.
Them americans are so funny.

(The Curb episode where Larry David is watching it: cracks me up)

Haha.
It's genuinely hilarious. I can't work out if it is meant to be for real. Who is acting and who is not.
Then there is the Springer's final thought, and he says it so serious, but i know he is taking the piss. He is very good though.
Not to mention the audience.

We have imitations in the UK, but they are not in the same league.

I read a book on his show. Apparently he records his 'final thought' before the rest of the show, which is why it seems such an utter piss-take after what happens...

...I have seen something indicating that , when JS is shown in Great Britain , the bits of curse words and people " taking off their tops " (or trousers) , which are bleeped out/digitally obscured on US daytime TV broadcasts , are left undeleted in the UK versions . Is this so ???????

I dunno. The shows I've seen (albeit in a 1-2pm timeslot) had things censored, but it might be different at different timeslots and/or network (like if it's on pay-TV)...

I don't ever watch that stuff ever, maybe take a peek for a laugh or two, but never.

But I have to ask to myself; who are the bigger dupes on the show? The guests, or the audience?

Kind of like pro wrestling.

as for dupes: guests or audience? this is exactly what i think about them Candid Camera type shows. I mean, the way i see it is they are all actors in them and it is the viewer being duped into believing otherwise. So i dont like them; but things like pro-wrestling and Springer, is just entertainment.

I watched one last night called "I love my daughter" or something.
This guy had been sleeping with his daughter for twenty years.
Top entertainment.

I don't think so!

He may have been born in your hometown of England, but his talk show defines the word "sleaze" to a T!

o yeah, she was about 38 i guess.
Anyway, it was one of the more obvious fake shows.
I mean i dont know what the laws are in whatever state they were in, but anyone in this country would find some people from the law waiting for them after the show.

By/way,Springer was Polish-born , was a WWII?? refugee as a kiddie tothe UK, thenwenttoAmerica.
