I thought it was a brilliant film. Parts were painful to watch, and that's partly what made it brilliant. Growing up and change can be painful. I thought it was one of the best films of the year. I would love to see it nominated for best film. Not best animated film, but best film.

Some people think "Sadness" deserves an academy award:

I think the film should be a serious contender for Best Film. It was moving, funny, engaging, wonderful to look at (though I'll admit it didn't quite make me swoon like San Fransokyo in BH6), great voice acting and didn't outstay its welcome. And it made some very good points very well.

Took my elder daughter to see it back in July. I was half watching the film, and half watching her watch it. I'll pick the dvd up pretty soon.

Can anyone give their opinions of Inside Out. Personally I love it, the concept is brilliant, and I feel it has a certain appeal to all of you guys.

In all honesty, I think it's currently my favorite movie to come out of Pixar. While the concept isn't particularly new (many people have pointed out similarities to Herman's Head or Osmosis Jones), I feel like the way that they handled it was absolutely brilliant. I don't think I've felt this emotional about a movie in a long time and how fitting that it would be a movie centered around emotions that would make me feel this way. This is one of those animated movies that I feel should be nominated for Best Picture Oscar and I would feel even happier if it were to win. But maybe that's just me.

I liked it a lot! [Some parts almost made me cry, though.]

It's a near perfect film to me.

But I'm going to throw this out there, could Riley be autistic?

What makes you think she is? I don't think she was created to be, I think she was created to just be an average preteen girl.

True. Imagine if someone would make a fiction story about an Autistic child with the same concept.

Maybe I could write a book like that...

Inside Out is good stuff, from the characters to the storyline. That moment when Riley finally loses almost all of her emotions and runs away was so savage.

And that's why Inside Out is so much darker than it looks on the surface. Apparently a major move can do that to a child...

They could release updates on a regular schedule like the 7up films

Eh, I personally just saw it as a more cutsy version of Osmosis Jones.

I saw it online this morning, and I thought it was a really good movie. I can relate to many of the characters, particularly Riley and Sadness. I do admit that it can be a tearjerker at times, and I did cry at one scene near the end of the film. Overall, the storyline is amazing, and the characters are unique, making it a great film.

A true return to form for them. After Cars 2, Monsters University and Brave i was a bit nervous of the direction the studio had been heading in, and yes, while those films may not be "bad" in the traditional sense, they were certainly not up to par with Pixar's tremendous pedigree. I would put Inside Out in my top 5 films of theirs, it was THAT good.

Wall E
Up
Toy Story 3
Ratatouille
Inside Out

I'm extremely excited for The Good Dinosaur.

^^
I saw The Good Dinosaur and although it was a great Pixar movie, it was just a hybrid of
The Croods, The Lion King, and The Land Before Time.

Hmmm that doesn't sound too bad actually. The Lion King is my favorite animated movie oat and those other two are nothing to sniff at either. As long as it was great... very curious to watch now and see what you mean by these comparisons.

Inside Out is my favorite movie of all time, for exactly one reason: Joy.    Joy is very beautiful and sexy. Unlike all of the other emotion characters in the film, Joy is the only one who's like a human, and I so wish that she were a real person because I would totally date her.

That's my opinion of Inside Out!
