is there any robot wars fans here? if no one is familiar it was a BBC robot combat program which ran from 1998 - 2001 on BBC and then BBC choice (the predecessor to BBC three) from 2001 - 2003 then finally on channel 5 from 2003 - 2004 before being revived in 2016 and airing in its original TV station, although reruns of the original series can be found on challenge at Christmas time

personally i thought the tv show is quite amusing especially the old series seeing as the commentator for both the classic and the reboot is provided by none other than Johnathan pearce

I remember watching that show when I was younger. I absolutely loved it!

We used to get that here in the US. It competed with the first iteration of the American "Battle Bots" show, which I also watched.

Robot Wars had a scifi- fantasy look to it. While Battlebots (then on Comedy Central) was patterned after WWF wrestling in the look, and in the style of commentary.

At least one of the fighting robots fought on both of the two shows at different times.

Havent seen Robot Wars since then (long ago), but Battlebots has returned, and its now on the Science Channel.
