Fav Characters who are unintentionally rude: Anya and Peri

Hi everyone,

Two of my favorite characters in recent memory are Anya from Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Peridot from Steven Universe. I say recent memory because I did not watch Buffy until five years ago.

Anyway, in both cases, I latched onto these characters immediately. I WILL DEFEND WITH MY LIFE kind of status. And I think I know what they both have in common: they are both rude without meaning to be. Particularly Anya, who struggles for her whole run in Buffy. She never means to hurt anyone's feelings, but consistently says what's on her mind, even though everyone around her has a wtf face on. But she has real feelings and feels deeply. I love her so much.

I definitely love characters who are on the outside looking in, and there are many more examples. But in particular, I like these characters who are rude but vulnerable, and don't understand what they're doing wrong.

Even as I type this, more characters are popping into my head. But I would like to hear from others about their favorite characters who fit this description?

This is why Anya is one of my favorite characters. I can relate to her. I also like Seven of Nine & Temperance Brennan for their similar characteristics.
