Tremors 7 Shrieker Island, fun and entertaining movie series, I liked this one too

but why did they kill off Burt? Was this the last Tremors movie?

We also enjoyed all of the franchise (including the TV series!). Good fun. I sort of feel the fourth film should be watched first, however. What do you think?

It's such a fun and entertaining franchise. I liked the series too, but unfortunately the series isn't available here in Europe, so I only got to watch it once, when it was aired on TV. Why it was cancelled after one season is beyond me.
The 4th movie could definitely be watched first, it is the prequel after all. But I also think it works well as an "extra chapter" like it is, maybe especially for people like me who aren't all that into stories set in historical settings, and might have given it a pass if it had been the first movie.

That bothered me, too. But, strictly speaking, they didn't explicitly kill him, they just strongly suggested it. I think they left enough wriggle room that they could say Burt faked it...and even if he didn't fake it, he's been eaten by a Graboid before. Let's hope for another movie!

Oh. And while I cringe at saying this...because it feels so wrong...technically they could do another Tremors film without Burt Gummer. 8O But that would just be wrong!

Yeah, I actually did consider that they didn't say out right that he was dead, so maybe he could make a new appearance in an 8th movie. I sure hope so! i hope there will be more Tremors movies, and they need to be with Burt, it wouldn't be the same without that character, it would almost be like a Tremors without a graboid.
Fingers crossed for more Tremors action!

Just bailed out halfway through Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. I've always heard this was a good movie. I don't get it. Am I supposed to be rooting for Michael Cera's character? Because he just seems like a tool. And it would have been nice if they'd given the girl some personality beyond being aloof. I think I'm too old for this movie.

I saw Halloween Kills in theaters the other night. It was okay, but I had to close my eyes during most of the kills because I can't handle gory deaths like that, which is ironic considering I'm such a fan of the series.

Horror In Red, White, And Blue.

Documentary on American horror movies, and the social and political inspirations behind them. Well recommended.
