I think my top favorite movies involving things like swords, magic, and monsters are The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Legend, and Conan the Barbarian.

Also I liked Spirited Away and Kirikou and the Sorceress.

Also for darker stuff I like Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

This is such a tough question!

Using IMDb's current opinion of what is a Fantasy movie, I think these possibly are the ten I would most prefer to watch:

=>-1. Big Trouble in Little China [1986]
=>-2. Dark City [1998]
=>-3. Everything Everywhere All at Once [2022]
=>-4. the Fantastic Beasts franchise [2016-?]
=>-5. Free Guy [2021]
=>-6. Kung Fu Hustle [2004]
=>-7. the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise [2003-?]
=>-8. Who Framed Roger Rabbit [1988]
=>-9. Wonder Woman [2017]
=>10. The Zero Theorem [2013]

Remembering that I have had a lot of birthdays...

I saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit in a theater when it came out. I saw it with a group from work. We all enjoyed the movie a lot.

One coworker brought along her two teenagers. They sat in the row behind the adults and seemed embarrassed to be seen with us...especially because of how we were so obviously enjoying the film.

The "Main" Harry Potter Films (I dislike the prequel films as do my family)

Lord of the Rings

Big Fish (very underrated film worth your time)

Time Bandits

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The sequels to Jumanji

Beauty and the Beast (both versions)

Pan's Labyrinth

The Jungle Book (both versions)

I'm sure there are more...
