Paranormal Egypt (2008)

The most dramatic episode yet, as Derek Acorah and Tessa Dunlop, assisted by an Egyptologist called Jana, investigate the very strange reigns of the pharaoh Akhenaten and his queen Nefertiti. Some truly disturbing scenes as Derek is possessed by the troubled spirit of Akhenaten, and the two women are also caught up in the scary atmosphere this generates.

In the very unlikely event that any of this stuff is genuine, then it would be truly impressive, but the overwhelming likelihood is that it's a load of contrived tosh, albeit cleverly scripted.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021)

This has taken me a while to get through because I've been distracted by other shows/films. Finally finished watching episode 16. I enjoyed the series. I enjoyed it. Likable characters. Nice story about personal mysteries, personal growth, and that is for most people in the town. Then there are multiple stories about multiple romances, new, old, and failed.

I got distracted by multiple series, films, a visit by my oldest son (not a distraction). I got back to episode six last week, and watched a few episode every day.

Atypical. I resisted seeing it at first, but I seems to be pretty good.

I wonder if Derek Acorah might come back as an orb

Coronation Street

Episodes from May 1991. One of the main storylines involves Mavis Wilton turning her husband Derek into a sex maniac by feeding him parsnips, which are apparently a well known aphrodisiac. In other developments Deirdre Barlow goes head to head with Alf Roberts in a contest for election to the local council, which results in a surprise win for Alf. And Curly Watts has dalliances both with 'Miss Bettabuy' Raquel Wolstenhulme and feminist fashion designer Angie Freeman.

I started watching that from the first series. It's quite good but I'm cancelling my thing next month so I don't think I'll get to see much more.

I was watching classic Corrie the other day. It's actually better than the up-to-date ones. I can't remember what happened though.

Fred Elliot ('I say, Fred Elliot'), played by John Savident? He was in the show from the late 1990s or early 2000s, I think.

Or maybe his assistant, Ashley?
