Hawaii Five O
The original seventies show, with the rock instrumental theme by the Ventures.

Mannix
Looove that use of percussion by composer Lalo Scheferrin.

Starsky and Hutch
Kinda funky, kinda jazzy, kinda disco-y. Very Seventies, in a good way.

The Avengers
The Sixties UK import TV series starring Dianna Rigg.

Secret Agent Man

The vocal theme by Johnny Rivers still sounds great, but the show also had unique incidental uptempo harpsichord music running through the scenes that was also quite cool.

The revived version of "Dragnet"

The early 2000's attempt to revive show the didnt last long, but it had killer theme music: a hip club techno version of the old 'dum-dee-dum-dum' theme of the original show.

Barretta. "keep your eye on the Sparrow"

M.A.S.H.

The mellow guitar instrumental version is sometimes heard on store Muzak. Which is odd if you know the title of the song (which you would know if you had the seen the Movie, and saw Elliot Gould play guitar and sing it in a scene):"Suicide is Painless".

Doesnt mean that the instrumental is not a pretty song though.

The old "National Geographic" theme was quite exhiliratting to hear when I was a child.

I know I'll forget some...

Pokemon (Kanto and Johto)
TMNT TOS
Punky Brewster (season 1)
Family Ties
Disney's Gummi Bears
Lassie and New Lassie (instrumental only)
Friends
Perfect Strangers

Some series would start shortening the intro into the seasons and it would annoy me when I liked the theme.

If something with lyrics, then I would say:

Happy Days ("Good bye gray skies, hello blue...")
The Greatest American Hero ("Believe it or not, I'm walking on air....")
The Big Bang Theory

For instrumentals or with narration:

The A-Team
Airwolf
LA Law
Battlestar Galactica (both the old 80's version and the reboot on Sci-Fi Channel)
Babylon 5 (it was different for each of its 5 seasons, but all five of them were great)

The Ballad of Gilligan's Isle

Just sit right back
And you'll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful trip,
That started from this tropic port,
Aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailin' lad,
The Skipper brave and sure,
Five passengers set sail that day,
For a three-hour tour,
A three-hour tour ...
