With CBS's recent hiring of Drew Carey to replace Bob Barker as host of the US version of "The Price is Right," I thought we would have a little fun here.

This is your chance to tell what you like about Drew Carey.

As long as that doesn't become the new Price is Right theme song, I'll be happy!

The Price is Right theme is just fine as it is! It doesn't need lyrics!

Clever!

If Rich Fields hasn't heard Drew Carey's old theme song, he'll be wondering what all that means!

Maybe he'll call his models, "Carey's Cuties!"

The only response that I can come up with about Drew Carey hosting the Price is Right is as long as it's not Rosie O'Donnell. Drew Carey is not my pick but he's better than Rosie O'Donnell anyday.

"One dollar, Drew!" doesn't sound quite the same as, "One dollar, Bob!," but we'll get used to it!

Iwas trying to use the Britishism "our kid" incidentally and,I was joking re:
the factthat years back,Bob Barker got a (stuff-)ualal harassment/discrimination/whatever suit filed against him by one of the s on the show (Him,not CBS,that's IIRC) but itgot tossed out

And interestingly enough, he will be on the same network as Craig Ferguson's late-night talk show.

Ferguson played Mr. Wick on the Drew Carey show.

Yes, I know that was a joke.

Yes, the lawsuit that got tossed out with Bob Barker was the one involving one of his "Price is Right" beauties, Holly Hallstrom. Bob Barker let go of her because he felt she was too overweight.

Ironically, Drew Carey can be described as, "an overweight version of Bill Cullen" (the host of "The Price is Right" before Bob Barker,) but he is a lot more funny!

He is also going to be the host of a new game show on CBS called, "The Power of 10." In that show, contestants predict the results of opinion polls for a top prize of $10 million.

Drew may not be Bob Barker, but he will make "The Price is Right" his own. This is why I think he would make the perfect replacement for Bob.

So, friends of friends are being involved, and that's good!

I don't think he remembers this, but Drew actually spoke with Bob Barker during a commercial break on the pilot for "The Power of 10," and he wished Drew luck. That was nice of him, although he does not know Drew personally.

Just out of the kindness of my heart, I would like to say, "Good luck, Drew!"

About Craig Ferguson - don't know if it's common knowledge in US but he began
his career in Scotland as a comedian and called himself 'Bing Hitler' :)
Sorry to interrupt the Drew Carey thread..
