I used to think it's Videodrome, but it might be Jacob's Ladder, I don't remember it very well.

You?

Eraserhead is certainly one of a kind. Inland Empire may be more extreme.

It will always endure as a classic IMO, but David Lynch knew how to do weird the "right way."

But IMO, it would be a three-way tie between Pi by Darren Aronofsky,
Brazil by Terry Gilliam, and Time Bandits also by Terry Gilliam.

Brazil is a rather lovely film, seen it a year ago or so... I didn't find it that weird actually.

Phantasm

1979, I’ve still no clue.

Jacob’s Ladder ranks up at the top.

Oh, forgot Naked Lunch. That one was pretty weird.

I do like the Cronenberg Crash a lot... I get sh*t for it from my SO.

Did you like Phantasm? I've seen 2 other films from Don Coscarelli I liked a lot.

Yes, I strangely liked the movie but wouldn't watch it twice or again. That was part of the wierdness, I had no clue and then all the sudden, I'm involved or the suspension of disbelief is in play for the movie.

No offense to any fellow fans of David Cronenberg, but the first time I watched Naked Lunch,
I had to turn it off about 20 minutes in in part because some of the bug effects made me
want to hurl. :eew:

I have read the book which will always be a classic. :)

Mine is probably "The Lobster".

(I thought "Jacob's Ladder" was brilliant, even though horror's not usually my cup of tea. Saw "Brazil" once 20 years ago and it's stuck with me ever since.)
