My cult classics would be

A Clock Work of Orange
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls
Freaks
Cat People
Frankenstein
etc. etc. etc.

A clockwork orange is a favorite of my youth. Just as rocky horror picture show is.

I pretty much enjoy original movies, weather they are considered cult or not. I watched freaks though, I didn't like it though...

If we come from the definition that a cult film is a film watched by a limited number of people an extended number of times then I guess a lot of the movies I watch could be considered cult.

Aguirre, The Wrath of God.
Directed by Werner Herzog, it's fascinating and frightening.

I like "El Topo" and "Eraserhead" and Rocky Horror (of course). I'm more into "excellent mainstream films that failed at the box office but gained a fanbase on DVD" (which is basically what a cult film is now). Films like "Idiocracy", "Office Space", "The Big Lebowski", "A Scanner Darkly", "Donnie Darko" etc.
I also like indie comedies like "Clerks", "The Royal Tennebaums" and "Juno" that did alright but because of their small distribution basically became cult films by default no matter how much money they made.

I saw this documentary about Midnight Movies on Showtime (I think) called "From the Margin to Mainstream". That was pretty good. It was about "El Topo", "Night of the Living Dead", "Pink Flamingos", "The Harder They Come", "Eraserhead" and "Rocky Horror Picture Show" (it mentions "Bambi Meets Godzilla", "Heavy Metal" and "Donnie Darko").

A clockwork orange is also my favorite film I have only seen rocky horror picture show a couple of time at midnight showing back in the late 70's, movie wasn't really as interesting as all the people having a blast. There really hasn't been any good cult films since home video came out, nobody go's to midnight movies anymore, which sucks, alot of great cult movies were also played at the drive inns across north america, cities such as Edmonton Alberta which at one time had the more drive inns then any other city. I use to go to a lot of dusk to dawn movies, usually horror themed or sci fi, or comedy, films like God Told Me To, or Demon Seed, Up in Smoke, Animal House. The drive inn always seemed the get the worse movies but it was still fun to go with friends because you could ignore a bad movie, and talk or blast your music without bothering anybody.

I've also liked idiocracy,k a scanner darkly, and donnie darkly.

I can't seem to remember the titles of other movies.

I hate when movies make me feel embarassed for the main character...or when you're supposed to feel bad for them.

I like movies that you aren't supposed to really feel anything for them. Sometimes I like thrillers because they are like puzzles. I love puzzles and anything that needs to be figured out. What I hate is when the film doesn't make sense. They pretend it's a puzzle, but the puzzle pieces don't really fit. And they are out of place. So it couldnt' make sense. That drives me crazy.

No one likes to see movies with me because I pick things apart and point out illogical things in them. I see all the mistakes they make and the splits in the film from one shot to the next, and where the actor was moved...I can't help it. I just notice it. Everyone talks of suspending your belief, and I try...but I can't help but notice all the errors.

I thought Freaks was pretty funny, the acting was horrible and the ending was just over the top.

I like Rocky Horror picture show allot too, and I also like A Clockwork Orange the time that I saw it.

I am a huge fan of The Big Lebowski, I also like Office space allot too. Is Fargo considered a cult movie? If so I'll add it to the list as well as Little shop of horrors though I don't know if it is also a cult film. Finally I used to like to watch Killer Klowns Form outer space when it would come on. It is pretty funny.

I adore cult films! My favourites are The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rock & Rule, Fantastic Planet, Velvet Goldmine and The Plague Dogs. I'd also love to see A Clockwork Orange, it sounds really interesting!

Oh yeah, Killer Clowns from Outer Space, scared the crap out of me when I was little. I didn't like clowns at that time.

I don't know if Fargo is or isn't but that's another favorite of mine. Usually when I bring it up, no one knows what I'm talking about.

I like Freaks simply b/c they were freaks. I espeacially like the bearded lady.

You know tantopat, the avatar you have is one I watched a while back. I haven't seen it in years and forgot the name of it. It's strange but I've rarely even seen it around.

I think you have to have a pretty demented sense of humor to truly enjoy A Clockwork Orange, IMO. Otherwise you may find it pretty disturbing in parts.
