I can't stand that movie. Not because it's bad, but because I had a really annoying friend that wouldn't shut up about how I needed to see it. So, unfortunately, whenever I try to watch it, I can only think about how annoying that person was.

Not only one of the funniest movies ever made, but one of the most quotable. I always like the movie, but didn't really get into it till I started playing a movie trivia game while working as a PA&D guy at Nintendo. When we'd get something particularly mindless in to test, we'd play the game for bragging rights and occasionally candy bars. I was always good at it since I worked at video stores off and on in my younger days, and am blessed with a photographic memory. Where I'm going with this is that the particular mix of actors in The Big Lebowski meant that it came up more often than any other movie, and whenever it did someone would always quote from it. After months of this, watching it with people became sort of a ritual, and Lebowski nuts have a sort of their own argot that only they get. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "You're out of your element Donny", with no clarification or anything, so obviously I'm not the only one that likes this movie.

*cough*

I've heard it's quite good but never did check it out for myself.

3/4 of the movie is really funny. The ending is a let-down though - they tried to wrap up the story without the craziness of the rest of it.

It's a great one, perhaps the greatest movie...

It appeals to me in so many different ways...

If it's possible to extract The Dude from The Drugs, I'd say he's almost a role model of mine.

"Hey, careful, man, there’s a beverage here."

I love it. I just wish the Dude wouldn't remind me of myself so much :p

Brilliant. He sure had a short role, though. I've seen characters like him in other movies, and they appear all throughout the movie, adding even more of a comical effect.

I would have liked to see The Dude and Walter play against him and his partner in the finals at the end of the film. That woulda been a cool ending.

It's not even my favorite Coen Brothers movie (which would be "Fargo") but it's still among my Top 10 favorite movies of all time.

i've seen this movie long time ago, and all i can remember now is my favourite scene when Dude is introducing himself to mr.Lebowski
it's not in my top-5 but definitely one of the favourite
