Watched the film 'The Monster' on Prime, it said it was a horror movie and synopsis was 'a mother and daughter must confront a terrifying monster when they break down on deserted road.' It's obvious it's an allegory from early on but the character development and melodrama make up for the simpleness of the plot. The lead actresses that play the mother and daughter carry the movie for sure, they had great chemistry and with the wrong person either one of those roles could of been really annoying which would of ruined the whole movie. Overall it just was really well made, the ending was kind of meh but I liked the movie because I bought into the performance.

It was hilarious! Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe had great on-screen chemistry.

The Bye Bye Man.

Three friends in college move into a house with a bad past involving murder. What accidentally is released after a half serious seance is an otherwise forgotten bogeyman called the Bye Bye Man who can be called up simply by saying or even thinking his name, bringing madness, murder, and death with him. Pretty decent horror film. My only complaint is with the Bye Bye Man's dog-creature familiar, which is clearly CG, and thus hardly scary. Otherwise, I liked it.

Live by Night.
It was really good. Ben Afflek did a great job as did all the actors.

Good supporting cast but Kline is the second worst Hamlet I've seen after David Tennant.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a 2016 American supernatural horror film directed by André Øvredal. It stars Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox as father-and-son coroners who experience supernatural phenomena while examining the body of an unidentified woman
