I really want to see that one. It's rare to see intellectual science fiction in a movie. I just can't seem to make myself get it together to go to the theater. It should come to On Demand soon, and I will probably pay the price for the convenience. If I'm watching a movie alone, I'd rather do it at home anyway.

Edit: Actually, it's available to buy online (not real buying, imo) for $15. I even have snacks here already, so it's breaking even and I can watch it again before I ditch this awful cable company.

Yeah, but it's my least favorite of all the Guy Ritchie movies I've seen, and I've now seen every one except Swept Away and The Man from UNCLE.

It was an okay film, but to be honest they have run the franchise into the ground yet, next month there is going to be a another film added to the franchise called,"Amityville:Awakening, though it does have a promised take upon the story"

If you go for movies that are emotionally gripping then its worth a view. Audiences would have been happier if it went a bit deeper in the plot and had more structure with the characters. But I won't ruin it for you, plenty of people enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it. I needed something life-affirming.

The Disapointments Room.

When a married couple and their young son move from New York to a deserted mansion in the south, trying to rebuild their lives after the death of their youngest child, the wife begins experiencing strange happenings. Soon, she discovers the property owner, a 19th century judge, had locked his physically deformed daughter away in a room not in the house's blueprint, before murdering her. Is she experiencing a genuine paranormal haunting, or is she succumbing to the mental illness she had suffered through after accidentally causing the death of her child?
Not a bad Gothic horror film.

Good to hear. Think it'll be the best picture winner?

Liked it better than the original. No betrayal from the townspeople.

MacArthur

I like Gregory Peck as General MacArthur.

I don't really track the Academy Awards. I doubt it, though. It's a great movie, but probably not one of the greatest ever.

The Hustler was great. The Color of Money was decent but not half as good, and watching it immediately after The Hustler probably wasn't a good idea. I'll watch The Hustler again at some point in the future but I doubt I'll want to see The Color of Money again.
