"Institute Benjamenta" By the Quay Brothers. I had seen "The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes" and was disappointed so I didn't hold out much hope for this one, but I ended up enjoying it.
I used to try to understand weird, enigmatic films like "Benjamenta". I kept looking for meaning and would find myself frustrated and feeling stupid that I had no idea what was meant by the film makers. Maybe the film has a meaning for the film makers, but it is not necessarily what I get from the film. Here, I just enjoyed the photography and the mood that was created. Maybe I'll get some meaning from it if I see it again, but for now, I'm happy with just experiencing the world that they create in the film.
