Liked it. May love it someday if I ever get an idea of what the hell it was about.

Logan.

Heart rending end to the X Men story, with Wolverine, now dying because of his own adamantium skeleton, Professor Xavier is fighting dementia with drugs that keep him from causing psychic quakes, and mutants have all but seemingly disappeared. That is, till a young girl, having been fathered by Wolverine's DNA by corporate villains, has escaped said villains and is in need of help from the last X Men. Very dark, grim movie, but with hope at the end.

I watched Kubo. Its hard to say what its about without giving too much away. It's definitely an original up until the final sidekick shows up, his attempts at humor fall flat and there were many attempts. A lot of creative effort went into the look and feel of this movie, I think it more than makes up for one hard to digest character.

I'm trying to watch a film a day during my university break, so I did watch many movies this week :D I'm planning to watch the Oscar's nominee for foreigner language next week but this is already off-topic...

What I watched this week:

Fusí (Sadly released as "Virgin Moutain" in English): Such a beautiful film, sweet and sad. This is my favorite kind of movie, it's a portrait of ordinary people with such sensibility that it becomes extraordinary.

Nymphomaniac vol 1 and 2: It disturbed me and I like it for it, for me sometimes cinema must take us out of our comfort zone and make us feel something. The story is good and the very graphic sexual elements has a role on it. I can't explain it very well.

Captain Fantastic: it seems a bit like Little Miss Sunshine feat some social justice warrior elements. It's fun but not great.

Evolution: It's quite weird, and it ends without explaining much of the mystery – I'm not sure if I like it or not, but it's a good sight that it made me curious. And beautiful art direction!

Rusalochka (The Little Mermaid): it's a sweet film, kind of theatrical and everyone there is so beautiful. I want blue hair!!

Grave of Fireflies: It's so sad and beautiful, I cried so much. I had already watched it long time ago, but it was really good to watch it again. It's one of my favorites animations.

Saw 'Morgan' recently; ended up quite liking it although one can pretty much tell what's going to happen simply by reading the blurb. :) It had a similar feel to Ex Machina, but Morgan herself is quite relatable in her unrelatability.

I always thought the title was a bit repetitive.
